Ok, as many of you already know the CVS sales have not been so great lately. I know many can't post any deals on the thread because the deals are few.
I did notice some are starting to talk and post about the Riteaid UP deals
I know this is the CVS thread but I have no problem with other deal postings on this thread. Lets face it, we are looking for great deals so any help is great.

If those posting other deals like "UP" deals could you please post in another color. Maybe a bright blue?

I will be happy to post the thread as CVS and RITEAID Thread if you all want me too. The only thing is I have NO idea how to do the UP program and honestly I am confused by it. I would love to learn

So. What I would like to know is: Would you all like to change the thread title to CVS and RITEAID Weekly Thread? Would someone else be willing to post the weekly deals for UPs?

My store got those Vitality toothbrushes in that were free after ECB a few weeks ago. I found my raincheck and 2 coupons and got my limit of 2! I think I will use them in DH and DD's stockings at Christmas. Although, I am not sure there will be room in DDs stocking due to all the Mentos, Revlon, etc.

I did buy a bunch of stuff last week - they were all free stuff that u get back a check for. I bought only the free stuff and then u go to riteaid website and submit ur reciept # and they mail u a check. love to find out more..

Rite Aid
RA works like a weird combination of CVS and Walgreens.

They have SCR - single check rebates where you buy certain items and enter your receipt online for a check back. You can enter multiple receipts and for some of the deals - like buy $30 for a $10 rebate, for example - you can have separate purchases. Like CVS keeps track of similar deals. You can only request your check though once per month, so it is usually best to wait until the end of the month to request it.

+ Up rewards - these are like CVS ecb's or wags rr. These you get immediately after you pay on your receipt. They are good for two weeks. However, they are more like ecb's then rr's in that they are like cash when you use them the next time. There are little or no limits at this time on the deals. For example - this week alka-seltzer plus has a 2 +up, buy 5 and get back $10 +up's. They will print as 5, separate $2 ups all in one transaction!

Coupons to use at rite aid:
Video Value (VV) coupons - go to rite aid's website and sign up and watch these 15 sec to 1 min. commercials. Each one will give you a coupon. When you have watched 20 credits worth you get a 4/20 rite aid total purchase coupon. These coupons can be printed and used once and stacked with a manufacturers coupon. Also, these are only available to watch in the current month but the coupon is good for two months, so you need to watch ahead a little for any you are interested in because the deal may not be until next month.

$/$$ coupons - these are sometimes available online at redplum, in emails, etc.. Slickdeals has a pdf right now of 5/25 if you check out their rite aid thread.

In-Ad coupons - like video value, can be used with a manu. coupon but you don't have to watch the ad ahead of time.

(I have the 20% discount after spending $1000 before coupons over the year - like CVS keeps track, but you get the discount all the time. If the sale price is better you get the sale price, if 20% is better you get that price)
So all my alka-seltzer plus rang up $4.39 instead of the sale price of $5.00. If you are new to RA, you will get the $5.00 price, so you woun't have to buy as many as I did.

My total was about $32.00
Used 5/25 coupon
4 of the $3 off manu. alka-seltzer q's from sunday redplum

Rite aid really isn't too hard once you get the hang of it. With the new +up rewards it is a lot like CVS. They seem to have better deals lately, I think they are trying to steal away the CVSers.

Where did you see a coupon in the paper? I must have missed it?

Last year I got almost all our candy free (w/ECBs and coupons) and that included at least 10 bags.

I've been kinda waiting to see if they'd have a good candy deal but never saw one. Or did I somehow miss it?
