I think I'm on the way back up now finally - thanks! I got a good kick in the butt today realizing that I can't do what I did a month ago, but hopefully I'll keep improving. Now I'm just ticked about how badly I was treated at Target when they used to get a lot of our $$ before I learned drugstore shopping.

Good to see you on the rebound, LanaJae! Things are so quiet here when you're not feeling well. Keep up the good improvement and quit calling yourself old. You're just full of experience!

I think Target was mean to you because they realize they are losing a fortune by you learning drugstore shopping!! That's why Walmart has been making me park at the back of the lot!!

Hi! Glad to have you back. Sorry to hear you are still feeling awful. I can sympathize with your eye. I woke up with a stye the other day and my eye is grotesque! And I had a function at work last night. I had to really cake on the makeup to try and camouflage it. Thank goodness it was dark. Hope you feel better everyday!!

At CVS, I did this - not a great deal, but I had to get in a store where people are nice to me after doing Target/Walgreens:

$20.00 Eight (8) bags of Hershey's miniatures (limit says 6, but they all rang up at $2.50 each)
$5.00 Glade Sense and Spray
-5.00/$25 flu quiz
-5.00 Two (2) buy 3 bags, get 1 free mfgs. for candy
-4.00 Glade mfg.
-5.00 extra buck
$6.00 (earned $5 - so $6.00 actual cost for all that candy)

I had stopped in a few days before to get my Glade soy candle (3-wick were gone ) and a new bag tag - love that idea! Made sure they scanned my tag today but I still got my stuff in a plastic sack, I don't see how that's going to work with such limited counter space, but if I get my tag scanned, that's all I care about.

Do you remember where the -4 Glade mfg came from? I tried using TaylorTown to find it but the only one that popped up expired 10/3. Was it from All You or from Sunday inserts? DS has been taking some of my "scented" type stuff back to college with him for his apartment.

Thanks - the $4 Glade was in last weekend's (10-18-09) Smart Source and we got it in both papers (usually one paper has better coupons than the other). Something is up with TaylorTown, it hasn't been updated recently. There is a $1 refill on Glade Sense and Spray right under the coupon, it is easy to miss as I looked at the insert 2 times before I noticed them.

I haven't been CVSing in a while, and I was finally ready to start this week. I have my glade and centrum coupons ready. I went to the library yesterday to print out the 5/25 readyfill Q, because my printer's been down all week. Now I see there's no more readyfill Q's printing!

Does anyone know if there's a PDF of the coupon?

A pdf won't work because all the numbers on them were unique - the second time one was scanned, the register would say, "not valid, this coupon was used on (date)"

Check iheartcvs.com to get a $3/15 and then you can split up some transactions and get the same savings.

Did the candy deal and the glade deal.
When I went to check out, I had a $3 glade coupon, but they wouldn't take it because it was free w/ ECB's. They said it was from corporate. Is that something new since I've been gone? It was at one of the stores that has always been coupon anal anyway, because my regular store was out of them.

If you have a cell phone, just call corporate right in front of the cashier. The number's on the back of your cvs card. I threatened to do this once when I was trying to use a mfg coupon and a cvs coupon for the same item and they backed right down and said "I'll do it just this one time" I try to stay away from that store. It's not worth it to me.

Has anyone tried to buy 4 cascades for the Transformer deal? It says limit 3 at the $4 price. I'm just wondering what the 4th one would ring up as???

I'd like to buy 4 of the Cascades ($16) and 3 of the Herbal Essence ($9). I'm not really in need of anything else on the list.

Big ditto! Of course you can use a mfg. coupon! Corporate CVS will be mad to hear this as they make money from mfg. coupon redemption.

Maggie, I have noticed that none of those limits are being enforced lately, I got 8 bags of the Hershey's candy and they all rung up at the sale price. I'd just watch the screen and stop it in the middle if it doesn't ring up right - they might manually adjust, but I really think the sale price will go for all of them.

I also noticed today that the green leaf bag tag can be scanned over and over in the same day - I think it says once per day on the tag it comes on. I did 3 transactions and earned my first $1 extra buck from it - one for my free email item and two transactions for 2 of the CVS tissue packs (2 for 99 cents) using the $1 off 2 "boxes" of CVS tissue CRT from the scanner - the cashiers encouraged using it on those and adjusted it down to 99 cents, it ate the tax and they were free. That's their promo item for the next week or so.

Either they are just jerks at that store or they are confused by an old memo that says if an item is "free," then a mfg. coupon cannot be used - that is old fallout from rainchecks that used to be adjusted down to "free" when the item was free-after-extra bucks. As long as you're paying for something (in some form), it's not free - receiving future store credit is a totally separate thing. Walgreens had major trouble with this because the managers hated that people could use a coupon on an item that gives them the cost of the item back in Register Rewards, but they all did receive some shake-down type training now and I haven't read much about anyone having trouble anymore - Walgreens is different because the way they do their store sales reports makes it look like the store is losing money because they don't add coupon revenue back in - supposedly CVS shows coupon revenue on store reports so coupon use is supposed to be encouraged because it's making people buy more.

Its worth calling customer service about that store, it's sad that no one has done it before.

LanaJae, hope you're feeling better with each passing day. A question about the green leaf bag tag. Is it connected to your CVS card so if we have two cards (DH's and mine) I will need two green leaf bag tags~one for each card or will one of them work for both cards?
