Cuttlebug or other embossing thingy?

From what I have read it sounds like Cuttlebug is the most popular for embossing.
Who has it the cheapest and what is the best price.

I live in Canada and Walmart here has it for $68. Michaels is $100. I am going to the U.S. this coming week. Jo-Ann has it for $53?

I may wait for a 50% off Michaels coupon because I think I can use it on the macjine...I think...lol

Don't know where to find it for the best price. Think I used a coupon at Michaels for mine a couple of years ago.

Anyway, it is a great little machine and you will really enjoy it. Then you have to look over the selection of embossing folders anytime you are in a craft store.

I have been pricing them, and so far Joann's has the best price. If you can get it with a 50% coupon at Michaels, it would be less.

Last week, they were 40% off at Michaels and there was an email coupon for 20% off including sale items, but my Michaels was out of them

After reading other opinions, I am also considering a Big Shot instead of the Cuttlebug. That is on sale at Joann.com right now also. Seems like it is a bit more heavy duty and can take all different dies/embossing folders.

I think I am going to hold off for a 50% off coupon from Michaels. And yes, I should have bought one last week when they were on sale with the extra coupon.

Yes, you can use the Cuttlebug plates. That's what got me started with this whole search! Here's a link to the machine at Joann's....read the reviews also.

This is a great die cutter! It cuts all Sizzix dies, of course, but also Cuttlebug and Spellbinders with ease. I bought this after the handle on my Cuttlebug broke on the sixth use! I though that I was saving money when I bought the Cuttlebug, but after the handle broke, I found out that it was a common problem with them. I researched the Big Shot and realized that I just should have gone with it in the first place. It's sturdier and handles all makes of dies better than a Cuttlebug (mine broke using a Sizzix original die-it just isn't really built to take it). Go with the Big Shot!

I love this machine! It cuts through cotton denim, paper and felted wool at the same time and all pieces have come out with distinct image lines. This machine makes quilting, sewing, card making and mixed media projects easier and faster!

I have to check my M coupons to see if I can use it on a Big Shot and then hold off for a 50% off. Stuff is more expensive here plus less choices.

I was in the same boat until a friend showed up at a crop with a Sizzix Texture Boutique embosser. It's small and cute and uses sizzix or cuttlebug folders. I got mine at AC Moore for 40% off.
