Cutting tools - what brand??

Oh, I hope you can help a real newbie to scrapbooking. I just purchased a Coluzzle knife, replacement blades, foam rectangle to cut on, and ovals and circles. I tried it out and I want to know: is the blade in the knife supposed to be "wiggly"? The dang thing feels "loose" in the knife handle and I'm really struggling to get it to cut, but I'm guessing this is because it is supposed to be able to swivel? It doesn't seem to tighten down any more than it already is. Maybe it's supposed to be this way and I just need to practice more and try to get the "hang of it". Any advice or helpful hints? Thanks so much if you can help me figure out how to use this tool.
Mine is about 5 years old so I don't know if it's the same model. But with mine you can completely unscrew the piece that holds in the blade. Maybe it's threaded wrong and needs to be re-set. :confused3 I'm just guessing here. Mine swivels but doesn't wiggle, if that makes sense. It does need to be tightened once in a while, as it does loosen with use. Also, if the knife isn't put in all the way it will wiggle.

I agree with this. It does move, but it turns, not wiggles. And as for the one falling out...I don't know how that could possibly happen. It goes between the handle and the "pen shaped" part, and the hole isn't large enough to allow it to fall out...maybe you got a bad one? I've purchased them for several people and never heard any problems, so I don't know. Also, a helpful hint in general is to make sure you remove the plastic from both sides of the pattern. It should be completely clear looking, without any "cloudiness" to the appearance of the pattern. If there is, there is still some plastic on there and it makes it nearly impossible to cut.

thanks much for the replies and advice. I'll have to check it out again tomorrow if I get the time---it really seemed "wiggly" to me, so maybe I need to unscrew it and try again. Or I could also try putting in one of the spare blades I got and see if I still have the same problem. again, appreciate the answers much.

Ok, I went back and looked at mine and I can't get the blade to go down into the holder and come out of the bottom. Sorry, I knew I had some problem with and couldn't use it at all. I guess it really can't fall out!
