I'm sorry, I know this has been asked and answered probably a thousand times. I am getting ready to print and cut out my dark transfers (Amy Mickeys). On the ones that are going on white shirts, I need to trim close to the design, but it doesn't have to be exact, right? Like I could leave a small border around it? Or do I need to cut right to the border of the design? I don't think I'm great with scissors, so the less exact the better, but I don't want them to look bad either.

And on the transfers for colored shirts, I need to cut right to the design, no blank space left, or that will show. Is this right?

Any advice is appreciated!

You are right on both accounts.

For the light transfers, you do not need to cut out exactly perfect. The white of the transfer will show wherever you do not cut but it will blend into the white tshirt.

For the dark transfer - only leave a white margin around the design if you want a white margin. If you do not, then you need to trim right along the edge of the design.
