I know a lot of you get the Family Fun Weekender Newsletter but for those who don't I thought I would share this.
INGREDIENTS
24 chocolate-striped shortbread cookies
12-ounce package of chocolate chips
24 marshmallows
tube of yellow decorators' frosting
_________________________________
1. Set the chocolate-striped cookies stripes down on a wax-paper-covered tray, spacing them well apart.
2. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
3. One at a time, stick a wooden toothpick into a marshmallow, dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate, and promptly center it atop a cookie.
4. Using a second toothpick to lightly hold down the marshmallow, carefully pull out the first toothpick.
5. Chill the hats until the chocolate sets, then pipe a yellow decorators' frosting buckle on the front of each hat.

This is EXACTLY what I need for my kids' table at Tgiving dinner! I love these boards!

Those are so cute. I may let the kids make these this year.

I don't have a picture but another one we've made is to dip the open end of a pointy ice cream cone in chocolate (only about an inch or so). Then fill the cones with cereal or candy that looks like fruit. I can't think of the name of the ceral we used but it was very colorful. Anyway, they look like little cornucopias and the kids loved them. I guess you could just use candy corn if you couldn't find any cereal or candy that looks like fruit.

I would like to subscribe to the newsletter but can't find exactly where it is on the Family Fun site. Is it the arts & crafts?

You can subscribe at the link below. You will have to register first & on the registration form there is a box you will have to check in order to get the newsletter. I really enjoy getting it & it has great ideas for crafts, etc.

DD (5) is snacker on Monday for Kindergarten. I know now what snack we'll be taking.

Thanks for the great idea!

Cute! Cute! Cute!

This just made it to the list of things I'll be bringing for the kidlets for Thanksgiving lunch! Hope they can wait 'til dessert time.

Looks easy enough that my two DSs can help.

My little nephew(7) and I made these last year, too !! He placed each one on a little leaf doily and put them on each plate at the Thanksgiving table - they were so cute and he loved all the compliments he received !!!
