Customs and Disney Pins?

I'm wondering if someday I will be stopped by customs because of my trading pins.
Have you ever been stopped by customs because of your Disney Pins?
What do you other CDN pin traders do at customs?

Too much money invested to have them checked!

My concern now is that there are so many of them that they will exceed the weight limit!LOL

You should not have a problem as carry-on!

Made us check our pins and lanyards. (Like we were going to stab someone with them or something). So far they have never been disturbed and our baggage has been "randomly"selected for search everytime.

I'ld be freakin'! I don't lock my suitcases anymore because I keep the good stuff with us!

Are you asking about taking your pins past Security at an airport, or the possibility that while crossing the border, a Customs officer will expect you to pay duty on your pin collection?

Actually, both.

I have pins to take with me to trade which I have already declared on previous trips. It will be the first time that I am taking pins back to WDW to trade. I normally just buy them there and trade while I'm at WDW. I do not have any receipts to take with me for the pins.

When we went to DL in March we stored our pins in our luggage. We had our pins on one of those Disney pin carrying bags. The kids and I only took pins that we were going to trade. We left all our keepers at home. We bought a few new ones and just included them with our other purchases on the customs declaration. At no point were we ever asked about the contents of the carrying bag.

Now, put money or knock-off sunglasses on one of the trays to go through the security screening to be x-rayed, and you'll never see those again!

Don't they always make you empty your pockets and put your wallet etc on the xray conveyors? We do. (Laptop cellphones etc included)
