Customized Park Maps

I know this came up a while back, and you have to have a US address to send them to..... so I decided to hijack one of my friend's letterboxes in Virginia and order a set of customized maps.

Over on the US Planning forum they've been saying how nice they are etc, but they take a heck of a long time to come....

Ordered literally just now, they quote 2 - 4 weeks. I'll post again in here when they arrive, let's see whether or not they're accurate!

Sadly they only allow one set of maps every six months, or i would offer the letterbox to anyone else who needed it!

Don't know if there is any difference but if you go into vacation planning on the WDW website you can customise your own maps then download to your printer.

Well, they've arrived!! More or less bang on 4 weeks exactly as they predicted!!!

Completely customised with the family name on all the maps, a handy set of stickers to mark extra attractions/locations we want to remember.

Most excellent! High quality 'parchment' type paper, superbly printed. Once Xmas is out of the way, I'll post some piccies if anyone wants to see them?

I'll get some pics done in the next couple of days - just got to do the whole 're-arranging the house once the decs come down' thing that DW does every year!

You can order customised park maps from disney online, but only if you live in the US - hence why i sent them to a friend. If you live in the UK (or any other country) you can customise and print yourself, which is nice, but doesn't have the same effect as large, beautifully presented maps!!!

I can no longer find the links to custom maps since the disney site changed. Can you still do it?

A very lovely Dis member actually volunteered to let me use her address for the maps to be sent to, then sent them on to me. You could ask on the boards, if anyone would be able to do this for you. There are some wonderful helpful people on the Dis. They are really beautiful and a very nice keepsake of your trip.
