customize lanyards

We would like to customize lanyards for all the people in our group and hand them out at our going-away party. From all the posts I've read (which were extremely helpful), I still need a little more information. What have some of you done?

Do you just need a lanyard, or do you need a plastic holder?

If so, what size? I read something about a single or double size.

Will a badge holder size work? (need dimensions)

We want to customize ours, can we put an insert with a design on the back, or is there information on the back of your KTTW card that needs to be read?

Should we put our names on the back, or for secruity reasons, is that not a good idea?

In April we ordered lanyard with clear plastic cases as a group. I made customized inserts to put in the card cases - the inserts included the dis name as well as first name plus dates and a cruise clipart. If you email me at djeckman@ptd.net I would be happy to email you back a copy of our clipart. We ordered from an on line company called Laminator Warehouse --- do a search and you should be able to find them. HINT -- be sure that you order the clear plastic cases that can have the KTTWC removed without having to remove the clip from the case. Some cases are closed when the lanyard is intact. We kept our KTTWC's in the cases as well as our inserts. It was nice to meet so many DISers throughout the week as we seen each other with our lanyards.
