Usually a Disney/Mickey themed decor goes to the tacky side. I have a Disney themed room that I tried to go to classy with but it still screams tacky-- but I love it anyway! This house is pretty cool with the very upscale custom touches.

Of course I have to wonder if it was staged for the photos so that an abundance of memorabilia was stored away. I find it hard to believe someone would be that into Mickey and not have a ton more stuff!

I think it is nice, but they really are going to have a hard time selling it. They are going to have to find a major Disney fan to want that place and as much as I and the kids like it..my husband is not a fan and would not want to live in a place with that many Mickey details in it. Most of which would cost a pretty penny to replace.

nice to visit I don't think I'd want to live there all year long...

You're right...it is done in a more classy manner. Very nicely done.

I wish them well selling it. It's not just a matter of shower curtains, pictures, and red/black style furniture. It is in the hard surfaces - flooring, tile, countertops, etc. - things that only a Mickey fan would truly appreciate.

Still...it is indeed pretty!

I didn't think I'd like it but it's done perfectly!!!!

Were I more into Mickey specifically, I wouldn't mind living there. It is definitely classy for a cartoon themed condo! Now, I wonder if I can talk DH into having a Beauty and the Beast themed house...

Wow  I'm kind of obsessed with this condo now! If it wasn't in Salt Lake City (one of the only places I really would never consider living..), I'd be thinking about putting an offer in!

I like it very much, but not sure I'd want to live with it every day. It is very nicely done!

They should have a building of condos like this in Celebration. I'd live there.

I love it. Most of it is more subtle than you'd expect. I wish I could have seen a full picture of that mickey head doorway.

Is there a thread here on the DIS of disney rooms or houses? I'm wanting to re-do my bedroom in a disney theme, but something very classy and understated. I don't want red/black walls or bedding. I need some ideas!

Let me see if I can find photos of my bedroom. I was trying for class over tack. :rolleyes1 The room is actually in shambles now because we inherited furniture that doesn't really fit the space and I haven't had a chance to redo it so I can't take any current photos.

eta: found some posted on a thread from earlier this year that also has some great Disney room photos. The wall is burgundy not a bright red as is the color in the comforter. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36399030&postcount=20

The old timers will remember Tia (Dsnylvr) she had a very classy Disney house much like this one.
I actually think SLC is a pretty nice place to live.

DH, DS14, and I would all live in a place like that in a heartbeat! DS16 may think it is a little overboard, although he'd probably go along with it. I LOVE it. Too bad it is in Utah and way more than I can afford!!

oooh....I think I'd love living there! I don't think it's overdone, but then I'm a Mickey nut!

I'm wondering how much of our Disney "stuff" our realtor will want us to pack away when we stage our house for sale.

Exactly what I was thinking. I prefer Mickey in small doses, not everywhere I turn.

Also, permanent Mickey is not something most people go for. I'm guessing they'll have to do a lot of changes before it will sell.
