Custom coasters?

Anyone know if its possible to make custom drink coasters? Do they sell such a thing at craft stores? And if so, what is the quality of them?? Also, if you've done it, how hard is it? I'm not an art teacher here!!!

Hi I am by no means an expert at these things -- but Bed, Bath and Beyond sells coasters that you can insert phtos into -- so basically, you can print anything you like up and insert it and have a customized set. I made them for my daughter at Christmas with all images of her children -- and now she just replaces the pictures for holidays and seasonally to always have a current set. So if you are thinking Disney -- just print up Disney images!

I had custom coasters made at Costco that were printed on marble with a black wire stand. They were amazing! They make four coasters in the set and each can have a different photo.

I used artscow for coasters for my cruise FE. The material is similar to a mousepad. Pretty inexpensive. The only draw back is the shipping time. Since they're in Hong Kong is takes a little longer to get here.

This is a great idea - I don't have to do any of the work!
I'm on the costco website looking for them, but not coming up with anything. How long ago did you do this?

Also try: Snapfish.com, shutterfly.com and Sams.com. Maybe Walgreens or CVS also offer these. I've had them done by winkflash but I WOULD NOT recommend them. They messed them up and said for the past 3 year they are remaking them for free and sending me a refund. Hasn't happended yet.

Hmmm. I ordered them for Mother's Day this year for my mom, so not long ago. But when I go on the Costco website now I cannot find them. Also I cannot even view my previous order, I get an error when I try and bring it up. That is weird. But I did see them on the Walmart Photo Center website as well. Not sure what quality they are though. The Costco ones were amazing. I will keep looking. I wonder if it was a limited time thing?

I make the tile ones. I print an image on tissue paper & mod podge onto a travertine tile. Possibilities are endless.

I made some custom coasters as favors for my Disney wedding... they were a bit of work, but luckily we only had 18 other guests! I got them from theknot.com during a sale and used one of the awesome DISigner's caricatures to complete! They were easy and cheap.
