Cushion to use in back seat of car?

Hello all...hoping my DIS friends can provide me with the ideas that I need! DS8 seems to be almost more uncomfortable on long car trips now that he is out of a booster...doesn't make sense to me b/c our regular seat is way more comfortable than his car seat? Anyway, we are headed to WDW in March and it is a 16 hour drive. I'm wondering if anyone knows of products out there that would provide an extra cushion for him to sit on while still letting the seatbelt do its job? I'm thinking that there must be such products for truckers and other long haul drivers, but I don't know where to look. Any ideas would be welcome (and my husband will continue to be amazed by all the info on The DIS!)!

Go to a automotive store. They sell cushions and such there. I know my Uncle has one that he sits on in his vehicles.

Another place would be medical supply stores. They would have cushions for those with tailbone and other sitting problems.

Did his booster have a back on it? If so it could be that the added suport is what made the differance. If he still fits safely into the booster I would just let him use it for the trip, but if not have you tried just using a pillow to see if that works before you go and spend money? I don't really know what to tell you, but I was just trying to brain storm.

I agree, it may be the molded support and arm rest. My mobile dd was 10 before I took her out of the booster seat with the headrest, and arms on it. They fit to 100 lbs now too. THere are cushions, in the skymall mag, look for the online version, but I would go back to a full support back and arms.
