Just wondering if joining Curves really does work? Need to tone up the cottage cheese butt and lose about 10 lbs. Any other suggestions???
PS....what do you think is an ideal weight from a woman who is 5'4??
feeling a little chubby lately and not used to it.

I have gone up a pants size and its freaking me out. I want to get to the gym again, guess curves isn't much of a workout. I want to have my cake and eat it too, so I think I will go back to Planet Fitness. Is walking on treadmill good enough for cardio to lose weight??? I can't handle the eliptical due to knee pain and the bike really won't work my butt out. I've noticed that even my quads are getting cellulite
In fact a quick glance at a BMI chart shows that you're not far from underweight. But based on this information, maybe you just want to do resistance training. In which case no, Curves isn't for you. And if you really want to take pounds off, for whatever reason, I'd think you have to work pretty hard (like more than at Curves), because a reasonable diet and exercise plan will help you get your body where it should be and....it IS where it should be.
I know I'm not over weight but I do feel like as i get older my butt is starting to grow and the cellulite on my butt and legs is disgusting. Thin women get cellulite the worst!!!! I'm too embarassed to wear short shorts, i always wear the knee length ones. I'm not complaining just used to be under 110 my whole life. Well 2 kids later the snacking is starting to catch up with me. My kids and my mother in law tell me I have a fat butt???? I know my mother in law is used to seeing me with no butt and I finally have curves, but it still freaks me out. I knew the ladies on here would understand. If i talk to friends about it they just roll their eyes at me. Even us average woman have a complex. I guess I get what I deserve for not being active. On the bright side....I could look a lot worse!!!!
I have gone there before and enjoyed the 30 minute workout room. Anyone familiar with it? Do you think that is good for toning??? I will do the recumbant bike and treadmill for cadio. Can't handle the elyptical...to hard for me and my knees.
