Curse, cuss or swear?

Swear, and I do. And sometimes, I do in front of the kids. I know, I know, shame, shame on me....

I used to say swear or curse until I moved to the South. Now it's cuss (y'all).

I'll only do so around adults whom I know don't mind or have a mouth worse than mine (I'd love to give an example of what I've heard come out of Briarmom's mouth, but it'd probably be my last DIS-post ever!)

I'm 39 years old, and would still never swear around my parents. My mom would smack my mouth, then my dad would smack it again for making my mom slap it in the first place.

Cuss ...and I used to cuss like a sailor.

The funny thing is I think our trip to Disney World in 2004 broke my habit.

There was one particular family with 3 pre teen boys that we ran into just about every day of our vacation and it never failed that the mother was using vulgar language directed at her kids,the dad and even CM's.She didn't even act like she was angry.....just an extremely vulgar LOUD potty mouth!

That was enough to turn me of cussing.Other than an occasional dammit or something of the like ,my language is now DIsney Friendly

DH & I are trying to break the habit. Every time we swear we have to put 25 cents in our son's piggy bank....Sometimes I think he will end up a millionaire!
