So I assume we are SOL but I wanted to get your opinions anyways.

We are currently at Disneys Vero Beach Resort and set to stay until Saturday morning where we will then moved to Saratoga Springs. The thing is we are pretty much done here and would love to head over to Disney World asap.

Since we are on rented DVC points is really my only options are to either contact the DVC owner to see if they can switch or to just see if I can book a room and spend more money?

If you want to stay elsewhere until Saturday, you will just need to pay cash for a new room. Member Services is closed for the day. Enjoy today and tomorrow and get up early on Saturday. Or book Friday night on your own cash and leave early. Plus it is doubtful you'll find any vacancy anywhere for points. I don't think the member will have points returned if you check out early. Usually, those points are just lost.

I think you should enjoy another day in Vero Beach and leave Saturday morning as planned.

Once the day of a scheduled stay begins (i.e. the day you arrived at Vero for that leg of your trip) the points are committed and there's no flexibility to make changes or adjustments. Even if you could reach the DVC member and there is a room available elsewhere, you cannot simply drop nights off of the Vero stay which has already commenced and use those points elsewhere.

Like "Deb & Bill" said, you could leave Vero early--forfeiting any remaining time there--and pay cash for an available room at WDW.

I checked the member website, all the WDW DVC resorts are soldout for tomorrow night for points stays, all room sizes. So you can either stay put or look for a cash reservation.

Thanks for the responses- although Vero is nice it is not for us. For our sanity I think we need to leave early- now I'm stuck on my smartphone trying to find a hotel. I hate that I call Disney and they will only give me rack rate- I get it but I don't like it.

Thank you- that was very nice of you to look.

I love Vero but I would leave in an instant if I was that unsettled. Check priceline. Happy Thanksgiving Gillyrose. :goodvibes

Hilton at Bonnet Creek is at $119.

And if you press the EXPRESS DEALS tab from my link, there is a four star Downtown Disney hotel on at $79, you just don't know which one. NOTE: Just in case you don't know, Priceline will only guarantee for two people but I've never had a problem getting two beds.

Tell them at the front desk ( go there-do not call) that you are unhappy for x and y reasons and want to check out early. If you have valid complaints, they may help, you find a room at a WDW DVC property or return some pts to the members account. I have had it happen when I had to check out early for am emergency. It was unexpected but I noticed when I got home, I was credited back 2 nts worth of points.

well, since wednesday was totally rain, and today was totally cold, I can see why you would be unhappy... unfortunately, the person you rented points from cannot control the weather. and at a beach resort, there isn't much else to do but swim or eat and drink. that is the dnager of going to florida in nov through feb.

a lot of people think they will be going where it iw warm, florida is not tropical. I have been at epcot in early dec in a winter coat.. FREEZING!!!!

the money is spent on the points. they are gone. if you are that unhappy, (which I understand) I would just suck it up and get a night anywhere near disney as cheaply as I could.

just pick up and drive . there are a coupel motel 6 in Kissmimmee (i know), but for one night. you get there. you are just a 10 minute drive down sherbeth road from animal kingdom. spend the day there, and check into saratoga very early the next am.

good luck!
