...and it's the most miserable stay I've ever had at any hotel, ever.
We are in building 3, and our room is shaking constantly from I-5 traffic. Also, we are the closest room to the stairway, so we have idiots stomping up the stairs and screaming as they run down the hall to their own room.
I called the front desk but apparently the manager is too busy to talk to me and they're booked solid.
HoJo...I hope you're still reading these boards. This is unacceptable.
I've stayed in this room....I know, I remember, it was 1 of 2 negative stays for us at the HoJo. However, the 20+ positive stays made us always go back.

We found bldgs 3 & 5 to be the worst for road noise (altho we have not bldg 1 without a Disney view) and the back corner of bldg 2 was very bad as well. And yes, I agree about people stomping around...I will NEVER understand WHY people think it's OK to be as loud in a hotel as you would in your home.....we have always impressed upon the kids how important it is to be quiet in a hotel, out of respect for others. Our point was made for us one stay at the Peacock Suites (we are SVC/RCI owners so our points go a long way at the PS) when the family next to us screamed at each from about 5 am.....finally around 7 DBF got up and went and POUNDED on the wall between our rooms.....that family was insanely loud the whole time they were there!!!! We tried to move but PS was full that weekend so we had to deal, we complained a LOT about that stay. lol Owner survey..why yes, I'm happy to take that and tell how crappy our stay was....LOL That was in March, we had a stay booked in May and when we checked in there were balloons, cookies and free light up Mickey ear hat to apologize for our negative stay the previous time.

Anyway, I totally get what you're saying about the noisy people going up and down the stairs. And back to that room, I don't remember it vibrating from road traffic, but I do remember the noise, I have a hard time sleeping with the noise and it made it hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep, especially when someone would blast their horn on the freeway......nothing like waking up to a semi blowing his air horn at 3 am!
Has anyone found a property map online? I found this one and wanted to make sure it is correct -

From that map it does not look like bldg 3 faces the hwy.
Bldg 3 does not face the freeway, but it's close enough that the road noise does factor in. It's the same at the far end of bldg 5 and bldg 2.
Dear Kathy:
I'm very sorry you had such an unpleasant experience last night! According to my Manager on Duty this morning there was a note from the staff last night to change your room today to a quieter location. I'm confident we will resolve this issue to your satisfaction. It is always best to speak "in person" to the Manager on Duty at the Front Desk when you have an issue with any hotel. My staff is instructed to resolve all issues to our Guests' satisfaction.
We are currently evaluating sound-proof windows/doors in our freeway facing rooms, so we expect to be able to announce this project soon! I'll keep the folks posted on our progress.
Jonathan, G.M.
She had a sleeping child, she was unable to leave the room at that time. This is why she did not go to the Front Desk herself at that time. I'm sure that you will resolve the issue with Kathy, but you may want to talk to the MoD at the time to be sure that calls are returned to guests, it's unfortunate that the MoD did not get back to her when her first call was made.
FWIW, IMO, the best rooms are second floor, parking lot end in bldgs 4 & 6, those were the rooms we always requested, quiet, clean, and the freeway noise was not a factor.
