Flying to Orlando on Saturday - every day is showing chance of storms/rain which i know is totally normal.
My question is has it actually been raining every day this past week? I am definitely packing a rain jacket - just wanted to know how it has been - thank you!!!!! :thumbsup2

I can't help you with first hand experience last week because I wasn't there, but there are any number of sites you can go to that will show you past weather for Orlando. The couple I looked at indicated some scattered afternoon thunderstorms, which are the norm and are very unpredictable. It can rain at MK but not Epcot. It rarely (not never, but rarely) rains for an extended period or all day. And keep in mind that, just because the forecast says 90% chance of rain, that doesn't mean that it's supposed to rain for 90% of the day - only that there's a 90% chance that it will rain at some point. It's good to take the rain jacket, if it's easily packable, because it could certainly save you during one of those thunderstorms.

There have been several scattered thunderstorms about every day, sometimes as early as 2PM, sometimes not until 8 or 9 PM. If they come early, they likely are gone by 3 or 4, with cooler temps then too, for a little while. But, the sequence seems totally random. Some days an area might get hit pretty hard (they move very slowly) and other days, the skies may be black but nothing happens. Sometimes they move east to west, others north to south, others west to east and lastly, much not as common, south to north. One afternoon last week, (and we live about 30 miles from Disney) a storm north of us was moving from west to east while a storm south of us was moving from east to west, couldn't figure that one out! But, nearly every morning, until at least 2PM, the sun is out, it is hot, so keep hydrated and find an air-conditioned shop or place to cool down. Also, if near a thunderstorm, TAKE COVER, Florida is the lightning capitol of the world and it just isn't worth it to risk it.

I wouldn't trust any forecast for Central FL more than 24 hours in advance. I'm sure it will be hot/humid and that it will def rain, but predicting when & where is difficult. I've seen some CMs post here that there can be a torrential rainfall in Epcot that never touches MK. :confused3 It's a big place. :)
