Current strategy for Jedi Academy

Our two sons (11 and 7) just recently decided they love Star Wars and watched all the movies after vehemently rejecting it prior. As a result, we want to try and work in Jedi Academy, but our current plans will make signing up a little more unique.

The boys are also huge Toy Story Fans with June Birthdays so we have a surprise trip for their birthdays over the release of Toy Story 4. Right now, we were planning a Toy Story Day on June 21st for the premiere, and we have Disney After Hours tickets for that evening in Hollywood Studios. Because of the late night, we were planning to sleep in, see the movie at Disney Springs early afternoon and head to DHS in the early evening.

Is it safe to assume that evening will be too late to sign up for Jedi Training, and we will be best served to stop by the park before heading to Disney Springs to sign up?

We also currently have a reservation for EMM on the 24th, but have a 1:00PM flight, so I don't think we'll be able to squeeze in Jedi before our return flight that day.

I know that there isn't a "mad rush" at park opening to get a slot for Jedi training like there used to be...but especially if you need a particular time (later in the day) you will be much more likely to get what you want if you sign up in the morning. I'd suspect that by lunchtime the time slots are slim picking. Also keep in mind that even though the "show" is only about 20 minutes long, the whole thing takes about an hour, if that helps you plan your return time to the park. IIRC the last spot for jedi training is usually 7pm.

We were there last June and got there at Pre park opening to get in line. At that time there was about 100 other people heading in to get signed up so I think (and this is just q guess) that you should try to get there no later than 10-11 in the A.M. And good luck

We were just there (last week). There was NO rush to sign up. We scheduled a 1:00 p.m. timeslot and at that point, they still had times available for 5:00 p.m. onwards.

One thing to be aware of - the show is outside. If it rains (even a little) they cancel the show and they don't reschedule (unless there are slots still available)
