Hi everyone,

Just wondering with the restrictions being lifted on board what the current state of the pools are? Do you still have to line up for your 15 minute spot or is it a free for all now. Also are the splash areas open now?

Bonus anyone know if the pirate deck party is back?

Thanks!!!!! Have a magical day 😊

I am hoping someone getting off a recent cruise can answer this. I find it strange that this isn’t of concern to many people - it’s one of the biggest deciding factors of whether we will keep our August cruise.

On one of the threads that talked about the recent changes, I did read there was no longer any limitations on the pool. And to my knowledge, the splash areas were open all along.

Sounds like you have made your mind up, but to share our experience, I thought I would hate it as we do a lot of pool time but it was the best part of the trip. We had 2200 so a pretty crowded cruise by current standard, and I can’t even begin to describe how much nicer the pool was without the normal people soup. We could swim freely and relax. Well worth the max 15 min wait—no different than waiting for the Aquaduck really. And the wait was only on sea days at peak times—never a wait in the evenings or early morning.

That said, I am interested in the current protocol too.

Just got off the Fantasy-no lines or wait times for the pool. For pirate night there was no pirate deck show as in the past (with Mickey coming in on a zip line), but they still did fireworks and about a 30 minute family dance party immediately afterwards on the pool deck.
We were told that our cruise was the first to not have to social distance for the fireworks. Apparently they previously had a circle for each family to stand in to watch the fireworks (that was according to the CM's on deck). Also, our cruise was the first to go back to self serve at the ice cream station by the pool. Yay!
