Normally I go to 1 Disney park and head to Universal and other Floridian locations for the rest of my stay in Orlando area. Now that I am staying at a Disney Resort, I finally want to see quite a bit more. I've never done much in Epcot (went there once, hopped on Mission: Space and almost threw up haha).

I am trying to plan it a little this year for my 4 night trip with a dining plan (3 tables per day). Right now I have the following roughed out with some reservations:

October 26, 2011 -> October 30, 2011

Day 1: Land at 9am and get onto the bus to the Yacht Club Resort FAST!
- Walk to Epcot [unplanned at the moment]
- [Breakfast and Lunch unplanned]
- Dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7pm

Day 2: Early Magic Hours open MK at 8am. Take the bus from Yacht Club to Magic Kingdom.
- Breakfast at 9:25am at The Crystal Palace
- Park fun [unplanned order]
- Lunch [unplanned]
- Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table at 5:15pm
- Not-So-Scary Halloween from 7pm to 12am

Day 3: Take the first bus to Animal Kingdom
- Yak & Yeti for lunch at 1:30pm
- Head back to Epcot for dinner at Les Chefs de France at 8:20pm

Day 4: Walk to Hollywood Studios
- Lunch at 1:10pm at 50's Prime Time Cafe
- Dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby at 6:50pm
- Head back for a good nights sleep and to catch an early flight back home on Day 5

Not that I am a huge eater, but I figured planning meals would be the first thing to stick to since places get packed once you are down there. I wasn't too worried to getting a headstart in MK since I will be there for the late night Halloween festivities.

There are other places I want to eat at, but with public transportation - going to other resorts seems like it might be a little too time consuming. Any suggestions on other places I must see and therefore should plan accordingly?

I am going with my girlfriend (both in our late 20's) so hopefully that helps a bit!

Epcot - when you walk from Yacht Club to Epcot you end up going right towards France or left towards UK -

France has that wonderful bakery with lots of great treats!

If you want to go to Futureworld to get FastPasses for Soarin or Test Track, Sunshine Season in the Land has great choices for food (quick service, they have a bakery there - it can be overwhelming when you look at the cafeteria style - just know each place has different options!)

It looks okay, but I personally thinking going to MK for the morning EMH and staying all day long and through the entire Halloween party is a mistake. Way too long of a day, IMO. Even for 2 20 year olds.

Yea you might be right. I was thinking of just eating breakfast there and then heading somewhere else and coming back later in the day. But maybe I will just head to a water park and then head there. This is why I am trying to plan it cause I am sure I will be burnt out of Disney rides when I am there all day .

I will probably switch that to an earlier breakfast in the Yacht Club - go to Typhoon / Blizzard Beach for a halfday then head to MK in the afternoon. We also run 2 miles daily (planning to use the resorts gym for this at 6am). So by night time we are going to be exhausted.

After your morning at MK you could hop the monorail and check out the resorts or maybe eat at one of the resorts before heading back for the party.

i would suggest going to the french bakery in france because everything is delicious here, (ham/cheese croissant and dessert 2 die 4!!

**have a light lunch around 11:ish(pecos bills, columbia harbor house) cause you want to be ready for that dinner @ 5:15!! get a lot done when you enter mk @ 8am, walk thru castle to the left to peter pan's flight 1st. you will get a lot done that night at the party for sure!
Day 3: Take the first bus to Animal Kingdom
- Yak & Yeti for lunch at 1:30pm

October 26, 2011 -> October 30, 2011

Day 1: Land at 9am and get onto the bus to the Yacht Club Resort FAST!
- Walk to Epcot [unplanned at the moment] should get there around 11am
- [Breakfast and Lunch unplanned] Epcot has great CS in WS - find one you might like, but I can recommend China and Morocco's first hand. Go get a FP for Sorin right when you arrive, walk around and have lunch - with luck you may still be able to get a TT fp around 1pm, if not with only 2 adults, you can do single rider
- Dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7pm great choice - one of the better restaurants I ever ate at in or out of WDW

Day 2: Early Magic Hours open MK at 8am. Take the bus from Yacht Club to Magic Kingdom.
- Breakfast at 9:25am at The Crystal Palace I like a bit later adr for breakfast (around 10am) - even though the park opens to the public at 9am, you get a jump out of Fantasy Land to get to the back of the park at 9 and can get a FP for Thunder and ride Splash. If you're heading to CP you'll miss that opportunity.
- Park fun [unplanned order]
- Lunch [unplanned]
- Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table at 5:15pm a good experience for eating in the castle so I suppose it's worth it, but it's a bit underwhelming food wise for the price or 2TS credits
- Not-So-Scary Halloween from 7pm to 12am

Day 3: Take the first bus to Animal Kingdom
- Yak & Yeti for lunch at 1:30pm good choice
- Head back to Epcot for dinner at Les Chefs de France at 8:20pm

Day 4: Walk to Hollywood Studios
- Lunch at 1:10pm at 50's Prime Time Cafe
- Dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby at 6:50pm This is ok, but nothing here is worth the $$ or 2TS. there aren't a bunch of great options at HS, but I might reconsider this one.
- Head back for a good nights sleep and to catch an early flight back home on Day 5

Your only "hop" is on Day 3 - if this is the case hoppers might not be worth it - otherwise, I'd plan to hop around more. Try to hit amemh each day, then hop out of that park late am. Can hop again to pmemh park later

Thanks for the tips so far. This is a big help. I will probably scrap Crystal Palace for lunch so I can hit a water park or just head to another resort for breakfast and whatever else before heading to MK.

Hollywood Brown Derby was pretty iffy for me. I haven't heard anything outstanding about it but I was pretty limited on choices. Though, I could just head over to Wilderness Lodge to eat at Artist Point. Since Hollywood will be AMEMH I can probably get a lot done and make a dinner reservation there.

My main concern is understanding how transportation works on buses / monorails. It says they operate until 1 hour after a park closes. So I'm just making sure I'll be able to make it back to my resort in time. However, if I have dinner at another resort, I should be able to get a bus to another resort up until 11pm right?

your staying onsite right? don't worry about the transportation, buses are always running and just ask the front desk before you start your day so you don't have to worry. we have hopped all over the place on the buses and monorail. that's why i love staying onsite! A great TS meal if you need some more are, the wave @ the contemporary, if you are not doing brown derby, i would do cali grill, or narcoossees or citricos! all are great 2 TS!!!

I wouldn't go to an EMH park unless I was taking advantage of the EMH's, since the park will be more crowded than others.

Day 1: Land at 9am and get onto the bus to the Yacht Club Resort FAST!
- Walk to Epcot [unplanned at the moment]
- [Breakfast and Lunch unplanned] Lunch at EPCOT-We love the Mexican pavillion for this lunch.

- Dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7pm Is that something you must have or just something that sounded good? Since you will be at EPCOT anyway, you may want to eat somewhere there that night and move Yachtsman to day 3 if you don't want to do hoppers there. That will save you some money on the hoppers and get you another great dinner like Coral Reef or LeChefs.

Day 2: Early Magic Hours open MK at 8am. Take the bus from Yacht Club to Magic Kingdom.
- Breakfast at 9:25am at The Crystal Palace That should be great!
- Park fun [unplanned order]
- Lunch [unplanned] Maybe Cosmic Rays -with a lot of variety- or Columbia Harbor House
- Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table at 5:15pm
- Not-So-Scary Halloween from 7pm to 12am
I have to go along with others on the MK/MNSSHP day. I would skip MK that morning and hit TL or head to DTD for the day and maybe rent a watermouse for a while, have lunch at House of Blues, do some shopping, and head over to MK for the 4 pm start of MNSSHP. You wouldn't use a regular park ticket, only your MNSSHP and possible a WP ticket.

Day 3: Take the first bus to Animal Kingdom
- Yak & Yeti for lunch at 1:30pm
- Head back to Epcot for dinner at Les Chefs de France at 8:20pmNote from above-Day 1

Day 4: Walk to Hollywood Studios
- Lunch at 1:10pm at 50's Prime Time Cafe We didn't like this personally, but others do
- Dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby at 6:50pm This looks good, but I haven't tried it. Hollywood and Vine was good though or even better, walk back over to the Boardwalk and have a great dinner at one of the restaurants there. There is a lot to see and do at the BW at night. It's lots of fun.
- Head back for a good nights sleep and to catch an early flight back home on Day 5

Any suggestions on other places I must see and therefore should plan accordingly? Transportation: You can always take a bus to DTD until about 1 am and then hop a bus to your resort. Buses run to DTD really late!

If you have not already paid for the park hoppers, I wouldn't do it!! You're only hopping once right now, and that's a lot of money.

As PP said, change your Yachtsman ADR to Day 3 and eat at Epcot that first night so you don't have to have the hoppers.

A suggestion for breakfast for your possible water park day is Cape May Cafe. It's a character buffet, so if you'd prefer not to do characters, there is Kouzinna. Both of these are in the Beach Club/Boardwalk area which is a short walk or boat ride away from YC.
