You put $200 down and get 10% of the Current cruise fare. If you take a new cruise within 24 months, and you get OBC from $100 to $200 dependent on the cruise length. $ 200 is for seven night and longer cruises the $100 for shorter ones.

You no longer book a " dummy" cruise if the date you want hasn't been released, if it is released you can do a 10% deposit for seven night and longer cruises.

So what happens if the date has not come out yet that I want to book. What do they do ?

Also do I lose the money if it went past the 2 years ?

If the cruises have not been released you put $200 down and then transfer it when they come out.

Now you can cancel it if you want and get your money back.

Also if it was over 24 months you can still book a cruise with it but you will not get OBB benefits.

You do not loose it.

I thought it was 200 OBC for 5 nights and more and 100 for 4 or less? I could be confused.

I understand the cut off is at 7 nights.

  • A 10% discount on the final cruise fare (with some blackout dates).
  • Up to $200 onboard credit per stateroom ($100 for 3-6 night cruises, $200 for 7+ night cruises).
  • A lower deposit requirement of only 10% on 7+ night cruises (regular deposit requirement is 20%).

You'd think I would know by now, at all the cruises I've taken. LOL Must be old age setting in. :-)

So what is the $200 if I do t pick a date. Is it a piece of paper or what is it

Also is the onboard credit for cruise am on at the time or the new cruise I book

What and I'll also get 10% off when I book it ?

The OBC will be credited to the cruise you book. Not the one your on, as then you could just cancel it after using it.

The $200 is just that a 'hold' for a OBB and you get a reservation number and it shows on 'My Cruises' on the DCL website.

Thanks all, looks like for the most part no changes have happened to what's being offered :)

ok I can claim old age on this one so forgive me if I'm misunderstanding what I've read earlier on this thread. If I do OBB when I take my cruise in February as we know we will be booking two staterooms in Dec 2017 (not over holidays but before so hopefully not blacked out) and we know it will be 7-day, I think I see that we will need to pay 10% for each stateroom not $200 per stateroom. If so, how will they determine the rate if its not out yet?

If its not out its $200 , if its out its 10%.

So with that being said......we put $200 down and then when we actually do book a date we pay the difference of the deposit and it is still 10% not 20%?
