Was wondering what the current situation is on dayrooms at hyatt mco.
- current cost?
- hiw to book or do they only take walk-ins?
Never used or needed it before but my current health situation just doesnt allow to hang around for hours and then hop onto a 10h flight…
My other option would be buying a day pass for a lounge but those are usually limited to like 3h and our post-cruise flight isnt until 8.40pm…

I believe the day use is for the hours between 10 and 6. The price would be dynamic and availability limited. I think you can book in advance but not sure how far.

MCO is one of the better airports to spend time at with so many places pre-security to eat and sit.

The Hyatt is such a convenient hotel. And it’s nice to have a nap before such a long flight.

You can see other hotels that may be available below, or try calling the hotel directly.

I flew many times out of mco when I was still healthy. I became wheelchair user and the actual sitting long times is the problem… (plus chronic fatigue) since Im stuck with the wheelchair AND luggage of a ta cruise, Im trying to avoid additional transfers but still need a comfortable place to hang.

I April, I booked a room for Aug 4th, and it was 10am-6pm for $189+tax/fees. It's our first time doing this since our flight is much later than usual.

We did this in April and booked directly with Hyatt it was over 200.00 with all the fees, but worth it. Can’t remember when I booked it but it was many many months out. Oh you can’t choose what time of room, there was 4 of us and we got 1 bed and a crib, interior view.

Has anyone done this recently? I see it is a bit over $200 but my flight isn't until 7pm. Did you think it was worth it? I think MCO is a lovely airport and better than most for places to sit and eat before going through security but . . . it would mean not having to do a walk off of the ship for an earlier flight and I could take a shower when I got into the hotel and wouldn't have to do it on the ship when a lot of my toiletries would be in my checked bag that gets whisked away the night before??? It's indulgent . . . . but . . . . ???

My husband and I just did this at the beginning of August for the first time. Our flight was also at 7pm. We took the DCL bus to the airport and were in the room by 10am I think. It was so nice to relax, nap, shower, have a leisurely late lunch at the restaurant downstairs, and repack just a little bit. We did have to take all of our luggage to the room, then walk back to check luggage at Southwest, but it really wasn't very far. It was totally worth it for us and would choose to do it again in the same situation. Hope this helps!

We did this in April, well worth the money. DH took nap, I went to the pool, had long lunch at mccoys. It was so nice until we hit security, lines were long and we almost missed our flight home.

If you can afford it, it's absolutely worth it. It's really nice to have a quiet safe private place to store your stuff, hang out, nap, freshen up, relax, and what not. Also, you still have access to the airport, so if you want to get something to eat or look into the gift shops, you can.

THANKS! Normally I would stick it out in the terminal and have a long lunch at McCoys (love their crawfish chowder) but traveling solo, I have to drag my bags everywhere - to the ladie's room, standing in line at Starbucks, carrying a tray at the food court AND drag my stuff . . .

It's always such an abrupt end to the cruise. You have this wonderful relaxing week (or two) and then BOOM! You're kicked to the dock with all your dirty laundry.

I've almost missed my Southwest flight at MCO, too, because of the line at Security. AND I even have TSA! With the flight at 7, I was thinking about leaving the room at 5??

Appreciate the encouragement. I booked it! Yay!

(Can I afford it? Not really, but what the heck!)

April had spring break crowds and we thought 2 hours were enough to check bags and get through security, we were wrong. This was a SW flight and we had to run to gate, not fun when you are over 60.
Glad you booked it you won’t regret it!

make sure you take advantage of the "reserve your time" thing at MCO! Hopefully that can save you time!

Now that my memory has come back to me (over 60, too!) it was SOUTHWEST that caused my problems! Checking in my bag. The line to do some wrapped around and around and across a passageway. There were panicked people standing next to a garbage bin tossing every liquid thing they had into it, just so they would make their flight. It took me 5 minutes just to find the end of the line, and then maybe 30 waiting to get to the Southwest counter.

TSA wasn't too bad . . and I went right to Starbucks (another long line) to get a Frappuccino to calm myself down.

The "Reserve Your Time" (for people without Clear or TSA Pre) is a good idea, too! Here is the link:

Reserve your Time at MCO

You can book up to 7 Days in Advance.

Just checked Ships in Port on the day I arrive:

Ships in Port CC Nov 16 2025.jpg

Conservatively, that's 18,000 passengers (double occupancy) but the Star of the Seas can hold 7,000 passengers. Vision of the Seas is a Port of Call so they won't be at the airport.
