I’m sure NYC is better

NY is typically bitter cold and you’re packed in like sardines waiting hours and hours not moving. At least at Disney if you’re waiting hours, can go on a ride

Some people get a charge out of being somewhere with a huge crowd for special occasions. Some people love the party atmosphere and being part of something bigger. Some people like going to Times Square for NYE or shopping on Black Friday. I am not one of those people, but I do get it.

It's weird. I generally despise crowds. But I love them NYE at Epcot! It's really quite organized and easy to walk around WS. I'd hate to be in Times Square.

I guess you are right because obviously there are enough people who partake in this insanity (IMO). Tonight in NYC Times Square it will be 10 degrees and feel like 0 degrees. People will start waiting 8 hours before the ball drops in the bitter cold with no where to use a bathroom and shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of strangers. I would deem those people more then the Epcot visitors.

There is one thing you'll never find me doing and that's NYE in NYC. It's cold and there's just nothing to do. I see no appeal even if it's no zero. It isn't the crowds

There is no wind chill if you’re standing shoulder to shoulder with 100,000 of your best friends. So there’s that.

I’m definitely with you that I wouldn’t do it, but friends of ours have flown out several times to go to TS for NYE. They enjoy it. Better them than me.

We did Times Square for NYE 2006. My husband said it was hell and would never do it again. I thought it was great and something everyone should do once. The atmosphere was incredible and no one was actually from NYC. We were surrounded by other people from all around the world who were there to celebrate and be together. I thought it was really joyous.

How is traffic flow through the park?—we’re heading over from the POLY around 8pm to do a frozen fastpass then the event at La hacienda—-wanted to estimate how long it will take to get from future world back to the Mexico/Norway areas

We aren’t finding it too hard to get around. Long line to get in but we had no bags so it wasn’t too bad.

The rides are mobbed though. Using our last fast pass on soarin’ now and there’s no fast passes left for any of Epcot! I can find 4th fast passes for space, rocking roller coaster etc. so that gives you an idea of how packed the rides are right now.

Wow. We’re in the UK just having a beer. Walking so far hasn’t been too bad tbh. Wi-Fi isn’t great but AT&T is working just fine at least.

It was bad at AK and DHS earlier today, too, so it’s probably the whole system.

I imagine wifi capacity is sized for average crowds. They're probably at what? 200-300% normal user level currently!

Crowds were heavy in The Land but the bathroom over there near Soarin' was near empty, at least at noon
