We are on the Oct. 30th Magic and was wondering if Rich Purpura, the Hills Brothers and Michael Harrison were still the entertainers on the ship. This is our 3rd DCL cruise and although I absolutely loved these entertainers I've seen their acts twice now and was wondering if there's anything new. Also, I've noticed that people are mentioning they have done away with Who Wants to be a Millionaire. What show do they have replacing Millionaire?

On the 9/27 Magic it was Michael Harrison, David DiMuzio (juggler) and Rich Purpura...all of which we have seen several times.

Funny thing is we still laughed at all the same jokes....but I would also like to see different entertainment.

The band was Seabreeze and the steel drum band was Kool Breeze.

The duo in the Promenade Lounge was Coco Bella or something like that.

The piano player in Sessions was Kenne.

I thought the band was going to be the Charles Marshall Band? Is the current band, Seabreeze good? I agree I would like to see the entertainment change more often. We chose to do the Disney route everyother year.

Wave Bands is on the Wonder and the Charles Marshall Band may be onboard her....I was on the Magic.

Seabreeze was fine...but I do like the Charles Marshall Band better.

I meant Rockin Bar D, wrong boat, anyway, we loved CM Band on the Magic in 2002, I just hope Seabreeze is as good, we had a blast on the last cruise dancing every night!

WWTBAM is still being done. There was a new show called Rhythm Extreme, but I think our sailing was their last show. :(
Seabreeze was wonderful.

I agree that the CM band was the best we've sailed with. I didn't hear that WWTBAM was changed. It was there this summer. All our entertainment was new and it was better than before.

I also really enjoy the Charles Marshall Band. I hope they are on the Magic October 30th.

Oh I wish Rhythm Extreme was still there.Iheard i was worth seeing. I guess we will just be going to Golden Mickeys. We have seen the others so many times. Last cruise I walked ut on Rich Purpura- It was my 5th time seeing the same act.UGH Guess we'll have to find something else to do at night.
At least David Di muszio will be different.
Sweetspot do you remember the name of the comeian last year who did all the NJ jokes.I don't remember seeing hm before?

dis4me: I checked the old Navigators and last year we had Michael Harrison, The Hills Brothers, Darren Romeo (he was amazing!), Rich Purpura and Gary DeLena. The band last year was Junction 21. You must be thinking of Gary DeLena. We didn't get a chance to see him because by that time my DS was really sick and we couldn't leave the room.

If the same entertainers are still onboard I would never miss them for the 1st time or 2nd time seeing them. I laughed at times so hard it was embarrassing. But I think we couldn't see them again. I guess that gives us time to try other things that happen at the same time that we've missed before.

2 more weeks!! I can't wait!

We were on the 10/2 Magic. Gary De Lena the rock and roll comedian, David DiMusio the juggler and someone with a duck named Chucky were the entertainment. There was another comedian, I forgot his name (Michael Harrison I think) who was funny. Who wants to be a Mouseketeer is still being played. My 7 year old daughter was picked to play. We missed the $80 question. We asked the audience and they were wrong. Oh well we had a blast and DD loves her pin she got. The best show was the Pirates of the Carribean deck party. My kids loved it.

Yes that is who it was Gary Delena. He was really funny. He kept makin comments about NJ that were so true.LOL
I didn't really care for the Hill Bros But I think it was the 2ndtime I saw them.
Darren Romeo was fabulous but I knew he was a limited attraction. Him I could go for seeing again. I just really like the small theatre presentations fr the adult show but I don't want to sit through the sameones again.
Last year it gave us a good opportunity tofind family events. Not sure if they still have the family spy party but that was cute and teh kids really enjoyed it.
I am sure there will be plenty to do.I am just trying to figure out where I want to put my priority flounders ressie in for.

Yep...Gary Delana was from New Jersey....we have spoken to him a few times onboard and he knows some people that my hubby knows (small world, after all) at least he had some different material each time...he was too funny with his New York/New Jersey jokes....there were all right on the money!!!

We were told by somebody at DCL last year that Rich Purpura would not be returning to work on the Magic due to contract differences, i.e. money.....seems they worked something out because he was back onboard two weeks ago.

Make sure you make the Flounders ressies for 70's and 80's night. I had such a great time at those and can't wait to do it again. They seem to change those nights around and there aren't any recent Navigators anywhere to get an idea when they will be.

It will be strange not planning on going right from dinner to a show and then another show but I really did want to try those family activities too. I remember seeing the spy thing but we were taking the kids to the show and missed it. Now I have to talk the kids into actually going to the family events with us.
