Current DVC offer

I was curious as to what the current deals are for Saratoga Springs are?
Can someone please tell me.

I bought at SSR last month. They offered me a choice, I could either get 150 points right now to use (in addition to my 2005 points) or if I commited to not going before 3/31, they would take off $1500 of the cost. Since I wasn't planning on going before then anyway, I went that route.

Ouch! Are their prices set in stone, or has anyone ever been able to get points for less than the "going rate". We haven't ever bought directly from DVC, so I really have no idea. Seems crazy to pay $95/point for SSR when resales are available for $80. Closing costs or not, it still makes DVC prices much higher. Is this why they offer incentives (free stay, additional points, cash off, ect.)?

Sorry, but I am not too familiar with the resale process. And I just double checked, amd yes SSR is $95 a point. I had never even heard about the resale until I read things about them here. Yeah, I guess this is how they are able to offer discounts. Sorry, if I wasn't a lot of help but I am still a DVC newbie.

When I was there over thanksgiving, they were discounting it by $10 a point, bringing it to $85. Much closer to resale pricing, plus it has a long shelf life than the older resorts (50 year RTU).

They are still offering the 10 dollar per point discount for 150 point contracts as of last Friday. This was for points with the August use year.

I received the $1500 off or one free vacation offer in the mail today. My guide called and said no all offer was written on paper. I will see what else she has tomorrow.
