Can someone point me to a place that shows the 2016 menus for the Magic and Fantasy? I thought they were posted on the DCL site, but either they are gone or I'm not smart enough to find them!

Thanks!

Thank You - I looked there already but the newest Magic menu is almost a year old. I think the rotational menus have changed in the least year to some degree. It's something to go on at least.

Have just come off the magic this morning, there have been some very slight changes to some of the menus but mostly regional favourites for the European and med cruises. Palo has had a change to so e of the dishes...some are enhanced And some are new....this week they have introduced an amaretti soufflé to the menu..,much nicer than the heavy chocolate version.

So the chocolate souffle is gone? My husband will be heartbroken.

StichJoJo, I have been waiting for someone who was on the Norway cruise. We go in a few weeks....how was it? Any chance that you will be doing a trip report or posting your navigators before we leave....I know, nothing like pressure. If not that's ok, I was just trying to do some final planning.

They don't change a lot, but remember, Scott relies on people like you and me to send him photos and other information. In fact, he just posted a new menu from the WBPC that someone sent him today.

We used the menus from his site prior to our trip in October on the Magic and we found them to be fairly accurate. They really don't change all that much.

In terms of the souffle, as far as I know, the chocolate one is still there. Can you imagine if they removed it? I think people would storm Palo with pitchforks. Here's a fairly recent Palo menu: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/palo-menu/

I had the chocolate souffle at Palo on the EBTA a week ago.

Sorry I don't keep the navigators any more.....after 17 cruises it would be too many of what essentially is the same piece of paper. I also don't do trip reports, however I will say that Norway was stunning, we were blessed with fantastic weather.

If one of the ports is Geiranger.....make sure to do the early morning get up(5.30) and enjoy the views as you sail through the fjord....the seven sisters water fall is stunning.....the outbound journey around 5.30 pm is equally as stunning.

WE had a fantastic cruise, however felt that there were somethings that could have been better....they cancelled the character breakfast..not sure why, and even though we knew there would be no fireworks(like Alaska) there was no pirate party...only the frozen party (had both when we did Dover-Barcelona repo cruise last year) and no late night buffet ( yeah I know , who needs more food right.?) Princess gathering only had three princesses (Belle, Cinderella and Rapunzel) .

Tangled was a good show....still in its early days I guess and could do with a bit of a polish, The slight changes to twice charmed was an improvement ( a couple of songs and costumes) and Dreams was fantastic as always!

hope you have a good trip

The " Regional" menus were used last year and on my trip report below in my signature. They are using them again this year.

I have full clear scans of these in that trip report from about midway through it.

Also a direct link on Flickr, but then " random" is here.

Mine in my trip report from the last north European cruise last year are in my trip report, clear scans of them, you can use the link in my signature, there about midway in the report, when we got home, or a direct link to Flickr https://flic.kr/p/wSzZTk but random there without comment.

These give an idea if the Regional menus on the Disney Magic.

As the files are big, many of the full scans cannot be directly posted here, but they are in my trip report via individual link, and can be accessed by the link above on Flickr.

These are just an example, others on the 12 night cruise have full scans including, the VIP character breakfast and sundry documents for Internet and Spa.

I just got off the Fantasy last Saturday and I can tell you, the menus are exactly the same as shown on http://disneycruiselineblog.com/menus/

The amaretto souffle is wonderful! My husband got the chocolate and I got the amaretto and we shared. They were both great.

The Dream and Fantasy, as said before have not changed much or all all. Only Palo dinner was updated.

The main differences as stated, are on the Magic European cruises.

If anyone is on an upcoming 12 night European cruise, my scans will give you a good idea of the Magic offerings.

Correct but OP asked about the Magic AND Fantasy and since I just got off the Fantasy last week, I am able to say with certainty that they are correct on the Disney Cruise Line Blog. Palo has been updated and is on that blog as well with the exception of the just added amaretto souffle.

Understand.

My list was just to put it back in context, as anyone going to European cruises will find them different. The comment re a Fantasy may lull readers into thinking that the reference quoted hasn't changed in Europe either. We found last year that thry were very much different in Europe.

In fact there is a lady blogging on the current Magic cruise, and said there new regional menus, she us an experienced DCL cruiser, so it seems it has caught her and many out.

The Magic menus scans have been in my trip report since Augylast year, do not new.

Fantasy/ Dream tend not to change so old ones are less of any issue.

Magic menus do depending where the ship is.

I prefer the extended Magic menus.

It's the same as the Cabanas casual dinner, in Europe they do have dinner buffets as well, but a few regular posters here, seem not to know that, and often say it's sit down only, but them cruisers in Europe find thier advice was incorrect, maybe true for USA sailings, not for European cruises.

My advice is to always google search for up to date menus, as many cruisers out them in thier own trip reports. It's the same as up to date navigators, always Google search them.

Understood. I am in no way claiming to have knowledge about European menus on the Magic though I think I would prefer those menus because I was somewhat underwhelmed with the menus on the Fantasy some nights. Yes, Google is your friend.

Yes, no probs,

Yes, European longer cruises menus are far far better than others IMHO, more to choose, more cultural background, try regional food. The different menus has caught at least one seasoned cruiser out on her blog running now.

The regional menus were out last year.

Google is best as navigators and menus are often in trip reports online, that's where I view mine and you know exactly how old they are. Issue us on dome sites you do not know how old they are, but for the new ships it matters far less.
