Current condidtion of the castle

Saw a pic from a week ago that had some lifts and other equipment around the castle and seemed they were stripping and repainting it. Does anyone know if it's done yet? going the week of May 3rd and have some first timers going with don't want then to see a castle under construction.

Prepare them for massive quantities of construction around the HUB including tons of walls and a fully drained moat. A fair amount of scrims around the rest of the park as well.

I believe the hub improvements are slated to complete some time around November 2015.

Disney photography told a wedding party that the moat near the castle would be filled with water on 4/11 so it sounds like the castle might be done before your trip but I'd still expect a lot of construction around the hub itself well into next year.

The pp is correct. From what I understand, the work on the castle is supposed to be finished by mid-April. The hub work will continue until 2015.

I can deal with the hub I just don't want the kids to see the castle all torn up for the first time.

Glad to hear this also. We will be traveling with my sister who's kids are married with kids so we have a lot of 1st timers. Doing a happy dance.

The Castle work is complete. Now, it is just the Hub construction.

4 man lifts are still in use on the frontal areas of the Castle but should be gone by late next week. Work is not yet complete.
