Looking for a different character breakfast...I usually do Plaza Inn because it's easy but hopingto try something different next trip.

What characters are at Goofy's right now?

Has anyone done the Princess Breakfast in the Trillium? I am a bit hesitant to book this as it sounds like a reduced experience from the previous one in Napa Rose. I might wait until holidays for that. Does Snow White or Aurora appear?

Not interested in Storytellers as I don't care for the costuming.

Wish they would do a tea with the Princesses. I think they did this in the past at DLH, not sure. Double wish they'd do Breakfast with the Avengers but I guess they don't "do that sort of thing" (Sam Wilson - CA:Winter Soldier) :rotfl2:

TIA for your help!

When I've gone to Goofy's it's usually Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. Maybe Chip and Dale? An Avengers breakfast would be great!

I have never ever figured out why Disneyland or Walt Disney World has never even thought of having a Marvel character breakfast before? Because even my dad would love an Avengers themed character breakfast and he wishes Disneyland did one. But the one thing I have never figured out is why Goofy's Kitchen changed their character lineup because at Goofy's Kitchen you used to meet characters like Alice In Wonderland The Mad Hatter Snow White Aladdin Jasmine and Baloo in addition to the Fab Five but why Goofy's Kitchen changed their character format to just The Fab Five is beyond me? But I can't figure out why Storytellers Grill doesn't add more characters because the only ones that appear there seem to be Mickey Mouse Minnie Mouse and Chip And Dale. But if Disneyland was to host an Avengers character breakfast at one of the hotel restaurants fans would go wild

I haven't done the new princess breakfast - I didn't know they changed it. I did do the very expensive one before at Napa Rose and it wasn't worth the money at all for us, the experience left me quite annoyed, I made a complaint and got a personal phone call from a CM but that was as far as it went.

Well, its just because of Napa Rose being remodeled, they moved it into a other area but I thought I read somewhere where someone referred to it as"a conference room" so I'm guessing they have downscaled it somehow butstill charging same amount.

Anyway, I booked Minnie's but will prolly cancel as I just did it. I might look at Princess when it goes back to Napa.

I am curious...what didnt you like about it? Not enough personal time? Not enough princesses? Which princesses were there?

It is in the Trillium Room. When Storytellers was closed, they had the character breakfast there. I posted photos here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/grand-californian-super-thread.2396588/post-66048621
Thanks. I think I would have a hard time justifying the price of the princess breakfast at that location.

We did it at Napa Rose the last 2 years. First time was amazing. This past January not as much. I felt like the lines to see the princesses were too long for the prices being charged. They were longer than the prior year. And our server didn't check in with us to let us know when other princesses were out. We were just left to our own devices. Which would be fine for a traditional character breakfast, but we had a much better experience the year before.

I did write a long review at the time but it was too rushed, the food they kept taking away before we were ready and I did not like the fact that we had to line up for the princesses, for the price they should be coming to our table. The lines were LONG and you felt like you needed to rush with each Princess because you're getting evil eyes from all the people waiting.
We didn't get any of the advertised experiences, like storytime with Belle, warrior poses with Mulan etc
The food was ok, but like I said the service was so rushed, they just kept taking everything even when I asked them not to.
it was almost $1000 with tip for 2 Adults and 2 Kids who were 4 and 6

WOWSA...THAT IS AWFUL! ESpecially with little kids...who were probably looking forward to it. I agree, they should be coming to the tables, that's the way it always used to be when we would go to CBs at WDW. TONS of characters, too...you'd almost be tired of them by the time to leave.

Yeah, I think after reading more about it, I'll have to pass. I was really looking for more classic Princesses, particularly SW and Cindy...don't care much for the more modern characters.

I mean, if you are going to wait in a long line, may as well do it in the place at the park where at least it's free!

PS-just searched and read your original post...I would have been so upset. It's definitely a no for me now!

When we went in January of 2024, some of the princesses met in the library (it was too cold for outdoors), some of them met in the front lobby by the fireplace and a couple came by our tables. A cast member was checking with us to see who we still needed to see and remind us when they swapped out. It was handled so nicely. I didn't worry at all about missing someone.

January 2025, it was all up to us, and it was all go line up, with sometimes 5-10 people ahead of us. None of the enhanced interactions they advertised. When we were done, we still hadn't met Tiana so they told us to go wait outside. She showed up after about 10 minutes and they brought a group of about 10 out to cut in front of us.

It kind of felt like they forgot this was supposed to be a premium experience.

Sad to hear but the reason I am writing is...THOSE PHOTOS ARE AMAZING!
I am assuming that is your daughter? Those outfits are incredible! What a lucky young lady!

Thank you @Tinkaboo! So many amazing memories. Yes, that's my daughter. She's 24 now and in grad school. I had such a great time making princess gowns before each of our trips. No costumes these days, but still having some princess fun. :)

Ohmigosh...YOU MADE THOSE?!?! Incredible job, Mom! And congrats to your little princess in grad school! Yes, agreed...you made some fantastic memories for both of you! I can't get over it...those dresses are breathtaking! I especially love red Belle and the Mary Poppins one, oh, they are all so beautiful!

So I am assuming that the photo with Rapunzel may have been this past January?
Did they treat you differently as two grown up princesses? I figure I would probably just get pushed aside or they would just think I'm a weird old lady (albeit one who has forked outa ton of money for the experience). I have had good times at Minnie's both times, CMs were very kind to come and take my photos for me, I suck at selfies 😂

Just not sure I would get that with the princesses. I just wish Disney would come up with a new experience for us...

Thank you. I had a great time making all of them. I'm also partial to red Belle. I made either 2 or 3 of those over time (we usually visited in December). And Mary Poppins was one of my favorites too. But the most fun we ever had was meeting friends at 1900 Park Fare with the girls in stepsister costumes. Peak Disney fun right there.

oh glad you found the OP, yeah it was something we were SO looking forward to. It wasn't just the money, we really wanted a great experience especially for the kids.
For a premium price it should be so much better.
