With status of the FP+ system now what do you believe to be the best use of FP+ to maximize your experience without "Working" the system.
1) Book morning/arrival FP+ then add evening FP+ once the original's have been used.
2) Rope drop one park and book afternoon/evening FP+ At second park
3) Other??

Thanks

Will be at POFQ fist week in Mach. My FP+ selection window is quickly approaching and was wondering what strategy to use for one adult and one 8 year old boy who loves the big attractions.

The system isn't allowing you to get more than 3 FP+ total per day. So if you use three in the morning, you won't be able to get any more for later in the day.

ETA: Heh, heh, wasn't as long-winded this time...

FWIW, we are doing Option #2 next week (yes, Xmas week) on many of the days. Morning in Epcot, afternoon at the Studios, morning in AK, early dinner at one of the Monorail hotels, and if the MK isn't closed to on-site guests, rice crispy treats & fireworks in the MK, for example. We are normally early birds and I think for at least one day at each park we will go early, then hop to another park where we have our FP+.
We wouldn't have park hoppers were it not for FP+, fwiw. So the Disney plan to have people spend more might be considered as "working" with us.

Websites for creating touring plans are just starting to create best strategies for touring with FP+. Since both FP options were available to onsite guests and offsite was restricted to the legacy FP system, no consensus has yet been reached.

For FP+ only, which I suspect I will have, I am going with option 2 most days with one day of reserving FP+ for earlier at my first park since my second park is basically for dinner and fireworks.

I'm thinking websites and guidebooks will update when we know what will actually be available in the end.

I would avoid FP+ first thing in the morning, especially if you are rope droppers. Either book for mid to late afternoon or at a different park later in the day.
