Current Airport Shuttle Info?

Thanks for all this, you guys! Booked our private van from SNA via Karmel for the 10/3 - 10/9 trip -- this was the last piece to get taken care of. I'm so glad it's a private van right at this moment, even if it is a little more expensive!

We took Karmel yesterday for 3 people to SNA from Harbor. We stayed at the Desert Inn, but the last few times I’ve arranged pickup two doors down, at the Tropicana, because it’s a much easier turnaround for vehicles. The driver was prompt, even a little early, the car was a beautifully clean SUV, and it only took about 15 minutes at 3:30 on a Wednesday. Total cost with tip and the GetAwayToday voucher (which has since gone up in price) was $71.

Be careful!!! They have a bad rep for not showing up! You can google reviews. They left me stranded once!

Whoa. Just started to read reviews for this shuttle company. How in earth are they still in business? I am so grateful to these boards for the information received here. I booked with Karmel based on input from DISers and am happy I did so.

I’ll keep following as just myself is going in two weeks and I’m thinking I’ll be fine with Uber or worst case a taxi.

Do any of the mentioned services meet you at luggage and help ? I am traveling LAX to GCR .

You’re right went to their website, looks like we can book a mini van which is exactly what we need

How is everyone paying for Midwilshuttle, Karmel, Prime etc? Are you pre paying online in advance, cash / card when you arrive at your destination to the the driver or through an App?

I used to pre pay Supershuttle online before Covid, but that was different times.

I booked Lansky because of the amazing reviews I read on here. Total was $325 return LAX to DLH. Pricier than an uber, but with covid I feel safer and more confident they have cleaned the car than an uber driver!

I'm getting close to our trip and will most likely be booking with them. I liked that it was a flat price and it says it includes a 20 minute stop at a grocery store on the way. Were you able to do that or have you just booked, but not travelled yet?

We booked with Karmel, tended to pay for the shuttle journeys at the time of booking online, via their website. Not sure how secure mobile apps are for paying through, so the trips were booked via a Macbook. Hope this helps.

I have some questions...I have never taken an uber or shuttle from the airport to DL...Im wondering how this works if you are getting wheelchair assistance from the airline....does anyone have any experience with this or can direct me to find information on it? Ive been trying to google things but Im not getting alot of help on the matter...TIA

I'm fairly certain that Sky-cap services (wheelchairs pushed through the airports by staff) are internal only-- that is, they don't come to the parking lot to get the traveller from their car, and wouldn't take a traveller back out to their vehicle, so I think the traveller is on their own from drop-off/pick-up points to the airport doors.

I can tell you when we dropped my aunt off at the airport, the sky cap started when she checked in, flew, and back down through baggage claim, but nothing beyond the doors of the airport.

You maybe should ring whichever shuttle company you are using and get them (or their driver) to liaise with the airport staff in charge of transporting people who are using wheelchairs. I don't think you'd just be dumped outside the airport, for that to happen would be against the law.

Has anyone used Sunny's Transportation? Really great reviews on YELP and TripAdvisor and it is one of the suggested shuttle services by mousesavers

That's correct. They will get you a wheelchair to check in, but until you reached that you are on your own. After landing they will help you with the bag and get you to the designated meeting/pick up point in the arrival terminal.

Whoa this is really cool. We were planning on getting dropped off at the hotel and immediately getting into and Uber to go to Target. That will save us time if our driver does this for us.

We're using Karmel for the first time in a few weeks we got the van for all of us for $105. We would need either 2 XL Ubers or 3 normal sized ones from SNA so I feel like $105 is such a great deal.

Can I ask where you found that rate for Karmel? I've checked on their site and Get Away Today and the lowest I've found for them was $149 for a van
