While searching on Florida Escapes web site I clicked on their Travel Money link and was taken to http://affiliate.travelfx.co.uk/FloridaEscapes/28/index.php where you can order on line with zero commission and free delivery for orders over £500 by Royal Mail Insured Special Guaranteed Next Day Delivery.

The rate quoted today is $1.5500 which seems very good especial when I compare it to the rate I would get with my bank of £1.53154.

The only type of payment Travel FX Ltd accept is by bank transfer, they don't accept card payments.

The bank rate today is $1.57065.

It does seem like a good rate and may well be sound but after having my fingers burnt with Crown Currency I never order money on-line these days.

I like to use my fee free credit card for most things that I buy but I do take a very small amount of cash which I always get over the counter now.

I too got stung with the Crown Currency saga and again only now ever purchase my dollars over the counter or on my new fairfx card.

Must admit though, this time round Thomson matched fairfx rate so taking into account the risk of internet companies (Bank Transfers) and using high street travel agents its around $30 extra on say a £1500.00 order which when taking into consideration what many lost with CC, its just not worth the risk to me anymore.

Hope it continues to rise :thumbsup2

Annette :)
