Anyone have any advice on a curling iron that will work on the Treasure? Keep seeing reports on FB about curling irons not working on the Treasure. A voltage issue? Sailing in a few weeks and want to be prepared. My T3 always works on the Fantasy.

The Treasure had a regular US plug outlet on the vanity for curling irons, etc. I plugged mine in just fine. However, I have dual voltage model. But I'm sure it used the US voltage. The plug worked fine for charging camera batteries, cell phones and ereaders.

Make sure it meets the wattage requirements: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/prohibited-items/.

As you've probably read, some of the more 'powerful' styling tools that worked on the older ships don't work on the newer ones-they probably have different outlets that are better at limiting.
Thanks! I have read the wattage requirements on the website and the whole booklet that came with my curling iron to try and find the voltage. Can’t seem to find the voltage number. I was thinking of just buying a different curling iron if I knew one that worked!

Mine is also dual voltage. Maybe it will work!

This is interesting. I have cruise many times with a few different flat irons, never had an issue. I sailed on the Treasure in December, and 1 flat iron that has worked on other ships, did not work. I assume it broke, threw it out and replaced it when we got home. I never thought the issue might be the ship.

Probably threw out a perfectly good flat iron!

I have cordless curling iron that I LOVE for travel. Charges with a USB-C.

I have been looking at those on Amazon. Every one I look at seems to have a warning that it is a frequently returned item. Made me hesitant to order one!

I’ve had mine for several years. This particular one is not noted as frequently returned and is on sale right now and has a free return if you don’t like it.

Thank you so much for the information!! I really appreciate it!

Ok. So on the Treasure now. My T3 will not work. Not in any outlet in the stateroom. Someone in the sailing FB group suggested the L’Ange Le Duo styler. So I brought one of those along too. Works perfectly.

Another lady at dinner told me her flat iron wouldn’t work either. Guest services told her to go to the salon to use it. She tried and it wouldn’t work there either. Can’t believe DCL doesn’t warn people of this issue.

My DD had issues with one of her irons on the treasure in April, I’m sure it was not an expensive one, so she borrowed the two that I always bring when I sail.
2 cheap conair ones from Walmart, never any issues.

Does it meet the voltage and wattage requirements on the prohibited item list DCL publishes? Most of the times that seems to be the issue.
