Curious? How many pay there dues right away?

Resale points are paid via CC in January.

AKL points direct from Disney was set up monthly. Guess should make it consistent but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Aloha,
Jen

We use Disney Visa and will wait until the end of Jan. after our closing date so we get an extra month to pay it off. Since we pay off this cc monthly, we won't be paying interest. We use our points to get gift cards for our Disney visits. If you use your cc enough, you can have a substantial rewards debit card to use for your trips to Disney (just used a $516 card for meals and misc. on our Dec. trip)

We use Disney Visa first week of January for our annual dues. We then use our reward points for dining on our DVC trips. To us, it's another little perk, as long as we pay our credit card off monthly. It's surprising how the reward points add up.

I pay mine monthly. There is no benefit to paying lump sum especially since they are due right after Christmas.

DVC Owner since 1999

Disney has enough money, I pay ours on February 14th and I pay with with the credit card that is offering the best points reward at the time. :)

:earsboy: Bill

I pay between February 5th and February 15th in full.

Jason

I pay with CC the last day before late charges start. Can't see a reason to pay them earlier.

I am with you guys. I pay it between Feb 10-15th at the start of my new billing cycle since I have to pay some home utilities beg of Feb it spreads out the cash I have to give out at once.

Monthly here too..but this past fall for some reason I just paid them all off (we have 4 contracts). Not sure why I did that though. :rotfl2: Probably won't do that again.

I pay it once annually but I "escrow" the amount each month into a savings account so I'll have enough to pay it off when the Chase credit card bill came due.

I get my stipend pay from my part time teaching position twice a year - January and June. So we use that to pay our dues in full in January.

We just bought into VWL so this is our first due bill. And yes we are paying the whole thing off. Probably will do this every year so its out of the way.

We pay right away, we pay on our visa and get credit for cash back. We pay the card full when statement comes in.

I pay it as soon as the amount appears on my Member site. I like to get it out of the way as soon as possible and get the points on my credit card. It does come at a bad time of year, however, with Christmas expenses.

All at once and take the credit card points, but I don't have that many points and my bill is small so it doesn't matter much.

I just transfer what my dues will be monthly into an interest bearing online bank, then when dues are due I charge the dues for the reward, then pay the CC out of the account that has the dues amount in it. So I get my pathetic interest during the year and then my little reward amount too.

I have an ING account that I do this with to pay my mortgage. Mails (electronically) the payment, too. I plan to set this up for my dues sometime next week. This way I don't have to think about it.

We pay ours off right away, but it is only a couple of hundred dollars, so it isn't a big deal.

How did you manage to just owe a couple of hundred? Sometimes with dues I wonder if we made the best decision ... I was not really thinking of the dues in addition to the monthly payments as well. Lucklily we paid it off and got rid of the monthly...but the dues...ugh...every year in January ;)

I don't know about Dacky619, but one of my contracts is 50 points at the VWL and my bill was just over $200. Now my 210 pts at AKV is another story, but I'm sure those with a small contract have a smaller amount to pay for their dues.
