Curious about a certain poster on here

That's exactly why I try to avoid his posts. Curiosity makes me look at them from time to time. I know what I think about them, but I've never responded to one. As for whether it's a joke or not....well, take it as if they are not.

He's an enigma.

He posts strange things like "Perla is my mommy" (or whatever), then gets irate when people comment. Just a thought, but I always thought he purposely posts stuff like that to "get things rolling" on the CB.

I've also seen posts he's created on other discussion boards that are written in a completely adult manner.

So, it's anyone's guess.

Honestly, we don't really know for sure what anyone on this board is really like, and what kinds of problems they may truly have (unless of course we know them in real life). I don't see a reason for treating anyone differently than we would anyone else. I believe that the nature of this board is intended to be that we are all respectful of every other member.

While I agree with this, the thing I notice about FC posts is that people coddle him like he's a child, maybe because he posts in that manner. Honestly, if I were to make a post about having a sore throat, a headache or whatever, I think I would barely get any responses and it would hit page 2 before you know it.

I don't know...there are some people here who could post that they have a hangnail and people would come out of the woodwork to offer pixie dust.

He posts like a baby on one thread when he wants to stir things up, then posts like an adult when it suits him.
I just ignore him tho it does really bother me when he reports anyone who does not agree or coddle him.

I blocked the person involved because it became impossible to read certain threads for all the off topic posts that person was posting. Now I no longer see any posts by that person.

He's the first to admit this.

He makes it perfectly clear that he can communicate as an adult when he wants to, ie on vegan issues which he can outspeak many people, but when he discusses things related to WDW, ie Perla, or whoever the heck he talks about, he talks like a baby.

It's not my job to understand, nor to judge.

Actually he PM'd me a short time ago!! He basically said the same thing another poster did about he is an adult that likes to post child-like posts. It was a long PM and he actually asked me to come back and explain his explanation.I won't post his PM here because he did not give permission to do that but I guess that will satisfy me. I told him that he wasn't "my cup of tea" but that I would either ignore his posts or if I chose to reply then I would be kind. I did also tell him that he should put people on his ignore feature if he was going to report people for posting a smilie.

OK...Case closed...go back to your other folks you like to rake over the coals.

Let's pretend for a moment that this poster who we all know you are talking about is a "fake" please honsetly ask yourself why you care and what impact it really has on your life. I've seen him at the MK and I believe he is perfectly legit, but if he's not I couldn't care less

As somebody who reads them, but does not respond, I do think I understand where the OP is coming from. It would be one thing if everything remained in one tone, but it's actually the poster I think the OP is referring to that many times starts things down another path or flips out. It's why I personally treat every post by him as read only.

ITA. That's pretty much how I handle those threads. I mean there's lots of ongoing threads that annoy me. I just roll my eyes and move past it. I try to do the same with the threads the OP is talking about.
