I think like all natural "miracle cure" claims, you need to take it with a grain of salt. Cherry pits, Apricot pits, almonds, peach pits, etc., also contain trace amounts of cyanide. Eating too many could be the "cure that kills."
That said, apricot pits do have a really nice flavor, and my grandma would always put a couple in her jars of apricot preserves. All things in moderation, it is not a case of "if a little is good, a lot is better."
