CUBS tickets should be Gold-plated!!

My Goodness!! After two... 'the sun-was-shining'... daytime attempts at getting ANY tickets Friday, I waited it out and, with baby bro at my cyber-side tonight, we each plugged through and FINALLY got tics to 4 games! Between the 2 of us, we have one game each month, June (5 tics), July (a night game-7 or 8 tics), August (my Mom's BD-8 tics) and, September (the last Home game-4 tics).

AND, what burns me is, mamajoan got tics before I did and, I LIVE HERE!! Of course, robinb ALREADY has her season tics!!

It's kinda funny that no matter how bad they lose, those darn tickets are a real effort/expense to get!! They should be GOLD-PLATED!

NOTE: mamajoan is going to 8/11 night game and, she'll be in town soooooo, maybe a DISMeet surrounding that time? Of course, she has to WANT one!!

I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana but have been living in Atlanta since DH and I graduated from Purdue 20 years ago. Even after all the winning teams Atlanta has produced we are still die hard Cubs fans. The only Atlanta games we go to are when the Cubs are in town. We changed from cable to dish for only one reason: WGN.

I still have a 45 record where the 69 Cubs are singing "It's the Cubs in 69". I still hate the Mets for that one.

They were lined up! I was watching on TV! You would think that the homestand when the Yankees come in is the World series! I read somewhere this is the first time the Yankees have come and played in Wrigley since the 30's.

I tried to get Yankee tickets and ones to the last game, no luck on either. They do go fast here in Chicago.

It's amazing how minor league baseball has really caught on. It never ceases to amaze me how the minor league team in Chicago consistently outdraws the major league team.

Cubs tickets? Blah! Try to get Season Packers tickets.... Maybe Kelly would get them in enough time to pass them onto her kids by time your name is up.

Now, you could always get Brewers tickets - there's plenty of season tickets left in Good Old Miller Park...

Yes I would love to meet up with the wild and wooley Chicago Dis'ers... maybe I then could gather up nerve to get some of these Bay Area Dis'ers for a meet...

btw.. I have to call the lady at handicap seating services on Monday AM to get the tickets... hope nobody else needing w/c seating got the 8/11 tickets... ya never know tho... I might just have to hang around Chicagoland a few more days!

Guess this shows the expense to be at Disney... haha!

Braves spring training tickets, are $24.00 !!! That is more than SSB used to pay for great seats at both parks in Chicago... er, um... I guess that was about 10 years ago... eek!

The only time I remember free flowing Cubs tickets was just after the strike ... did not take too long for them to rebound.
