Cuban Sandwich in Disney

I like to get una colada de cafe at Bongo's, too. I used to live in Miami, and I really miss Cuban coffee. I get my fix at Bongo's.

When I was there last March they had a cuban at ESPN over at the BW and Olivia's in OKW, according to my Ddil the one at Olivia's was the best, she should know I guess she is Hispanic

ABC Commissary has them at DHS, but if your a true afficionado of Cubans this one may not be up to par.

Sadly, I think the Cuban sandwich is off the menu at ABC Commissary. Too bad-I especially loved the plantain chips accompanying it.

My wife had the cuban sandwich on top of her burger at Espn at the BW last week.

There's also a Cuban fladen (flatbread) served at The Fountain restaurant in The Dolphin.

It's *huge* and delicious. (They have the best burgers on property, too...) ;)

Thanks for all of your help. I can't wait. Why can't we get a good Cuban sandwich in the midwest????:confused3

Google Alton Brown Cuban Sandwich and he can teach you how to make one. I don't have a panini press or fire bricks, so I cover my Pampered Chef stone with foil and use a square iron griddle for the press part. YUMMY and just about as good as any I've had around here in FL.

Thanks! I think I am going to get my grocery list ready and have these for dinner. My hubby will be so surprised. I think he might miss the "poof" of bread crumbs that comes when you bite into the Cuban bread, but a hoagie roll will probably tast just as good. Thanks again!

If you really love your Cuban sandwiches, you can make the hourlong drive to Tampa and get one in Ybor City.

I had the Cuban sandwich at the Bongo's take out window and it honestly just wasn't good, maybe if you order it inside in the restaurant it could possibly be better but I definitely wouldn't get it again in the take out window. It could also be that since I live in Miami and my local Cuban place 5 minutes from my house has a Cuban sandwich twice the size of the Bongos one with twice the amount of meat for half the price it just didn't seem like a good deal.If I recall the sandwich also had thin sliced ham not the thicker slices Cubans should have.
