hi,
we just got back from 10 days at csr. we had thought before our trip that one of the great things about csr was that it was the only resort with direct busses to the boardwalk. while i know this was true in the past, it is not any longer. we asked at check-in and were told no, you had to go to downtowndisney and transfer to the boardwalk bus. we asked at mk info center and they made a phone call and said yes there is a bus, so we asked again at the bus stop at csr one morn when there was a cm there monitering riders and she said she thought there was but she would check, she called transport center and was told this service was discontinued. we had wanted to walk to boardwalk and take a csr bus from there after illuminations but instead went to the front of epcott to get a csr bus. we were dissapointed but we did have great bus service to and from all of the parks this trip, including to the waterparks and downtown. funny though, on the day before we came home we saw a bus come by at csr that said, boardwalk and downtown disney, we rode it to downtown disney but it did stop at boardwalk first???? they seem to be changing their minds almost daily???

Sorry you got conflicting information, Katypop. There is a lot of confusion about this bus route, even among the CMs. There actually is a bus route from CSR to the Boardwalk. What confuses everyone is the fact that this is a Downtown Disney bus, so it doesn't just run back and forth between the two resorts. The route is Downtown Disney to CSR to Boardwalk to DD. Therefore, you can take this bus from CSR directly to Boardwalk. But to get back to CSR from Boardwalk you have to ride through the Downtown Disney stops. This is the only bus route at WDW that works that way. Thus, mass confusion.

that the Downtown Disney bus ceases to make a Boardwalk stop. Before 6pm, you can take the Downtown Disney bus directly to the Boardwalk, after 6pm, you must transfer to a Boardwalk bus at Downtown Disney. I, and many othe CSR guest I spoke to, think this change stinks!

hi again,

sorry to disagree but we caught a dd bus twice from csr before 6:00 pm and asked the driver if he was going to boardwalk and both times the answer was no!
