CSR to Blizzard Beach-Walk?

Can you walk to BB from CSR and if so how far & which direction?

I would think you should not walk to any parks, theme, water, etc unless it has a specific walkway because the traffic is so bad and it would be really dangerous to walk down the roads there. Please do take the bus!!

No, you should not walk. It is down a busy road and there are no sidewalks if I remember correctly.

Absolutely not. Do not walk. Its very dangerous and without sidewalks. Instead the bus to Animal Kingdom usually stops at Blizzard Beach. The DTD bus stops at the other water park. Please be safe.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just happen to read somewhere that BB was close enough to walk but I was wondering how to get there or where was the walkway to get there. I thought it was along a busy street.

There actually is a lighted sidewalk to BB from CSR, but you have to cross the street in front of CSR to get there. Here is a link to the thread from when I asked the question before our November 2009 trip. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2295260

We never actually walked it though. It just turned out to be much easier to take the bus. The buses were great at CSR! Enjoy your trip!

We walked it once. It was a couple miles, I think. Took us about 30 minutes. It takes awhile just to get through the darn parking lot. I don't remember the direction. I'm always confused about direction at WDW. I just follow the signs.

There is a sidewalk so if you really wanted to walk, you could relatively safely. However, you will have to cross the busy Buena Vista Drive to do it.

When you come out of the front entrance to Coronado Springs, you will have to cross the street (there's a light) and then go to the right. Blizzard Beach will be down there a ways. Also, you will have to walk across the entire parking lot and that's really not for the faint of heart. You will also have to dodge the Disney buses that will be turning into Blizzard Beach. And you would have to carry all your swim gear with you.

It would take you about a half hour to walk in each direction. Quite honestly, I wouldn't do it since the bus is much easier and safer.

Yes, you can. There is a sidewalk that goes in front of CSR and then on the other side of the street which is the side that BB is on. You may want to walk all the way towards Winterland, Summerland so you won't have to walk through the parking lot where there is not a sidewalk.
