CSR - smoking allowed ? I thought not

I thought I read all WDW resorts are SMOKE FREE - everywhere.
No offense to smokers - but second hand smoke bothers us.

From another's wonderful post of CSR, I have read about the families August 2007 trip.

Here are some quotes:
Pepper Market..."Also, if you eat outside, some of these tables along the lake are being used by smokers, so that was unappetizing. I found the best solution while you wait for your to-go food to be ready, is to just sit at a table inside PM on the far wall as close to the pizza section as possible until your pizza is ready"

and

Next to the main pool....."fun eating by the pool! My only complaint is that the eating area next to the volley ball court is most unattractive. There are no plants or flowers, just concrete with tables and umbrellas. Plus, it was being used by smokers."


So is smoking allowed at CSR ?
If so, are the area's for smoking labeled so those who wish to smoke can and those who wish not to have second hand smoke, can avoid the area's ?

As with all WDW resorts, smoking has been eliminated from all the buildings but not completely banned. There are designated smoking areas. Check out the map created to shows all the DSA's.

Whether or not all guests adhere to the new rule or CM's enforce it is another question all together. Same thing happened at the parks when they changed the rule there too.

Looks like from the map Buzz provided that there are indeed smoking areas in those two areas mentioned. There is no smoking INSIDE the buildings. There are smoking areas outside.

I've never smoked but there has to be some areas for smokers to enjoy.
