If you had to choose between ranchos or cabanas which would you pick. Casitas isn't an option. Is one area quitter than the other?

OP I'm sorry I can't really answer your question but we are staying here for the first time in October and I am torn between the two sections. We want to be close to the main pool and yet not have a long walk to the main building either. From what I can see on the resort map, the Cabanas would satisfy both of those needs, but I really like the looks of the Ranchos area too, and since the Ranchos is the farthest section from the main area, I would think it would be much quieter.

We are going this Friday and we just don't know. We aren't supper picky but I would like to be close to the lobby and main pool. Cabanas seems to fit this but many seem to like ranchos. We just may wing it and let them choose for us.

That is what I am thinking we are going to do too, I did put a request in for the Cabanas area, but of course requests are just requests so if it doesn't get fulfilled and we end up someplace else, I won't be too disappointed. Have a wonderful trip .

We stayed at Ranchos last time and plan to request Cabanas the next time we stay at CSR. We loved the look of Ranchos and how quiet it was, but I *think* we were in 6A and felt very isolated.

With the new eatery and drink refill by the Dig Site, I don't think I'd mind being in Ranchos again; however, I'd like to try Cabanas to be close to both the main pool and El Centro.
