CSR - requesting certain area

We're staying at Coronado Springs for our next trip. In order to request a room in a certain area of the resort, should I contact the general Disney reservation line, or the resort directly?

You should call Disney reservations line and have it noted on your reservation. Hope that helps.

Just curious where r you looking to stay.stay? Ranchos casitas or cabanas?

You NEVER reach the resort directly. You might call the CSR phone number, but it goes to a Call Center. Call Reservations and have them note it on your reservation. Just remember...it is only a request and not a guarantee.

We just booked a trip to CSR for the end of Sept/beg of Oct to enjoy Food and Wine and MNSSHP.

Anyway, I was thinking of requesting Casitas, as I've read that the first bus stop is Bus Stop #2, located by them. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Yeah, the calls aren't so direct but you can get through.

Yes, that is true about Bus Stop #2. We were in Casita 3 and had a very short walk to Bust Stop #2 so it was a perfect location for us. We had booked a standard room but had it noted on our ressie request that we would like Casita 3 and "a pretty view". LOL It worked...we overlooked the Lion's Fountain.

I always request the area that I want at CSR and have been lucky enough to get it each time. When we're checking in, I always ask right away what area we're in. If it isn't the one I requested, I ask nicely if there's any way we could get a room in the ______ area? It doesn't hurt to ask at check in if you don't get what you want or requested.

We originally wanted cabanas but they gave us casitas 4. I couldn't have been more happier. We were facing the back gardens but were right around from the central courtyard and elevators. Also walking the other way was close to bus stop, quiet pool& The laundry room and gym. Ideal spot.Casitas 4.
