CSR Renovations?

Does anyone happen to know when the last time CSR was renovated? Anyone stay there recently? How did the place look?

when i stayed there last may i had requested a casitas room, but was not able to get it when i checked in. the cm said that there were less rooms there than usual because they had started renovations in a couple of these buildings. i did get a great cabanas room though, corner room with two windows and a water view though i had booked a regular room. the room was fine, but you could see that carpet etc had seen better days. i had spent my first few days at the newer AKL so CSR looked a little tired in comparison. i haven't read too much about renovations here since so i think they must just be doing a building or so at a time. i wouldn't hesitate to return here though, actually i'll be there again in april

We stayed at the csr dec 19- jan 3 2004. We fell in love with this hotel. We had never stayed anywhere but the deluxe hotels. We stayed in the ranchos. It was overlooking the quiet pool and close to the bus stop. Our room was wonderful very clean and no visible wear. The quiet pool did have some missing tiles on the sides by the stairs but other than that it was okay. While we were there they painted all the sidewalks in front of the rooms while sometimes it was a little hard to figure out where to walk and not walk it made a huge difference when they were done. Everthing was always clean from the pepper market to the lobbey bathrooms. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone

Stayed at the CSR last August 8-21. While there we requested Cabanas 9B and was unable to get it because they were getting ready to go down for renovations. So we were moved to the Casitas. When we got over to the Casitas, our room had recently been renovated, we can smell the newness of the carpet. Around the corner from our room they were renovating an entire side of the Casitas; new carpet, new sinks, and painting all of the rooms. So I would say late 2003-early 2004 is when the last time the resort was renovated.
