CSR Question

Heading down the 5-9 with my kids 3 and 8. I remember the last time I went (5 years ago) faxing down a request for specific room etc.

What do you recommend as what I should request? I hear this resort is very spread out. We will be spending at least one day near the pool and one morning so I would like to be close to that but what about the restaurants? Let me know your thoughts and where you fax. So appreciate all your help!

CSR is a large resort. I always follow the fax instructions on allearsnet.com

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is the old a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

it's my understanding, after having read it somewhere on here, that they no longer take fax requests--all requests should be noted on the reservation (call back with your reservation # and have them note your requests directly on the reservation). This way when the room assignor pulls up your reservation, they will see your requests and assign accordingly, or at least do the best they can to fulfill most, if not all, of your requests. Remember that requests are just that -- they do not guarantee you will get any of them, but it's helpful to help in getting what you'd like to have.

that's great to know. So does that mean although i had our requests noted on the reservation, that we should still fax our requests to them a few days ahead of arrival just to be sure our requests are seen by the room assignor??

I do both. Again, nothing is a guarantee but I continue to do it. It can't hurt. Worse that happens is it gets thrown out.
