CSR Or WL?

There's a 500.00 difference for 8 nights in September-where should I stay? My daughter is 11 and loves pools-but she also loves horses! We had hoped to "commando" the parks but that might get old on day 7 or so-which would make the resort look attractive. We have 10 day tickets. Help! We're going in Sept 2-10.

For that price difference I would choose WL. We stayed at CSR in July. It was nice, but we probably won't stay there again. We have already booked for next year and we are splitting our stay with POR and WL. I am really looking forward to WL. The resort had a great feel to it when we visited and the pool looked great. I know that people have raved about the CSR pool, but I felt like it appears larger in pictures. No flaming.... I know it is big, but it is not what I expected.

I am agonizing on budget though-for 500.00 I could come back on a weekend and stay at Pop-is it really worth the difference? I don't have any AR for anything at WL (or CS either) and I'm also worried about transportation being slow. I have never stayed at either-what are the advantages?

We have stayed at both. I personally did not think the WL was worth the extra money. Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful resort but we spend most of our time in the parks. The pools CSR is larger than WL. CSR also is the only moderate with a hot tub. We found CSR transportation to be better than the WL. CSR was on busses by itself where WL wasn't. Both resorts are great but totally different themes. Good luck choosing!!!

DO WL!!! we just got back today and I LOVED IT. we actually went over to CSR to visit to look at for our next trip and once you go to WL you may never go anywhere else. we fell in love with it!

CSR gets my vote. I'll spend my 500.00 on other things Disney

We also have stayed at both and prefer the WL. For us, the extra money is well worth it. Also, we really never had transportation problems.

CSR's pool is much better than WL. Why don't you stay at CSR and plan to spend a day at WL to take in the sights (the lodge is spectacular) and then over to FW for a horseback ride?

I think the other moderates do have hot tubs (at least POR & POFQ do).

If staying at CSR meant being able to come back down to Disney...that would do it for me! Stay there! Also, $500 goes a long way - you could do some nice dinners, get some nice souvenirs, etc....

I think either resort you will be happy with. I mean, it's all Disney, right?

I am torn...as you can see, I am a WL vet, but $500 is $500 that I could spend elsewhere...do CSR and have some really great meals with the $500!

Thanks for all the help-I called to change, but found out with taxes it was close to 600-that ended it for me-we are staying at CSR!

We, too, are WL lovers and thought we couild be happy no where else. We tried a moderate in May and found we loved it almost as much. $600. will buy a lot of frills. You made the right choice.... Have a wonderful trip.

where did you stay? we went to Port Orleans to the foodcourt one night for dinner and we loved it. we may try it next trip!
