So we are going to Disney for spring break. I know it’s going to be crazy but it’s the last trip before my twins go off to college next year. We are going back-and-forth between CSR and the Swan . So while I love, CSR, we were thinking of trying the swan because of its proximity to Epcot, etc. I love the boats ! We absolutely love the Yacht club, but it is three times the price of Coronado. This Swan is only 200 more than Coronado . The downside of the Swan is that, the bus to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. We would walk to Yacht Club and take that bus to and from Magic Kingdom. Also, no mugs. Any input would be great. What are your thoughts?

The Swan is the best choice by far! We love the Boardwalk area because it makes it so easy to get to most of the parks. Boat ride to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. If you have parkhoppers you can go through EPCOT and take the monorail to Magic Kingdom. Also Disney buses available at Yacht/BeachClub/Boardwalk and the Swan also has bus service to all the parks. And I didn’t even mention the Skyliner yet! It’s a ride all by itself! The Boardwalk area has great restaurants and entertainment on the boardwalk every night. Our favorite reason for staying there is the back entrance into EPCOT. After doing the other parks during the day, we would walk over to EPCOT at night. It is so beautiful at night! Also, great for seeing the fireworks show and then instead of fighting the crowds to get to the buses, we just walked out the back exit and in 10 minutes we’re in our room!

You are eligible for extended evening hours if you stay at the Swan. Might be helpful since you are going during the busy spring break season.

I would do the Swan. I love the CSR GDT, but do not like the bus service at the resort. I would much rather deal with the MK/AK bus situation at Swan just to get the easier access to DHS and EP.

The bus to AK is actually an upside, many consider the Swolphin stop closer than Disney’s own stops as it picks up/drops off at the rideshare spot. MK is a bummer but if it really bugs you walk to BWI and take their bus.
