So, I was set for 10 nites at CSR for a total of $1228. However, I received a pin card postcard and would be able to get Pop preferred for $768. Should I leave ressie as is, change to Pop, or split the stay?? BTW, would you recommend CSR or should I go try to go back to my more familiar POR?? Thanks for any input

My whole family loves CSR, but my kids are dying to stay at Pop. For a ten-night stay, I'd go with CSR for the queen beds, larger rooms, refirgerators in the room, better pool, and more relaxing theming. I think Pop would be a fun place to stay, but I think I might have sensory overload if I stayed there ten days! :rotfl2:

A split stay would be fun, too, if you have a resort day planned to make the switch. I know Disney will transfer your luggage, but I personally wouldn't want to be rushing around packing up the room on a day when I was trying to make rope drop. I'd stay at Pop first then go to CSR.

A split stay would be a good idea. Last year we stayed at both CSR and Pop. The day of check out / check in we took our luggage to the main building and they were very nice about transferring it to Pop. We headed over to DHS and had no problem getting there around rope-drop, if I remember correctly.

As much as I LOVE Pop, if I had to choose one over the other I'd say go with CSR just because of your length of stay. But if you stay at Pop you won't be disappointed and the ~ $450 you'd be saving would be a bonus!

That is a significant savings so I understand your questioning what to do.

If it was just for a few nights I would say switch without a doubt, but comfort is an issue for me at Pop. I just stayed there for 5nts and was ready to check out by the time I left. Hard bed, noise from the pool at all hours, no indoor bar ( I like to have a glass of wine before I head up to my room at night - gives me a chance to decompress and reflect on the day )

So I would consider split stay or just staying where you are if the cost savings of the split stay is not significant.

I would stick with CSR. We tired a value last year and they just aren't for us. We love the moderates.

We stayed for 2 nights at POP 2 weeks ago and NEVER again. Compared to the beds at POR and the Cabins at FW, they were hard and very uncomfortable. Even my kids, who were the ones that wanted to stay there, were not happy after all. They got their experience and said they do not want it again.

Ok, I have never stayed at a value or at a moderate, but we were supposed to take trip may 31 and had choosen to stay at the CSR and I was really looking forward to it. My family and I are going this dec. and part of them are staying at the CSR, hubby and I are at GF for a welcome home and an annv., I would love to stay at CSR. That being said, I am all about saving the money. Hubby and I got a 40% off pin and that is the only reason we are not at CSR. We have already decided the next time we go we will be staying at CSR.

I really like the idea of doing the split stay. I have done a split stay before and it is not difficult at all. We honestly went to the hotel from the park, packed and went to bed. The next day we brought our stuff to bell service and asked for it to be transfered to our next hotel. We went to a park and then left at about 3 and went to our next resort checked in and had our stuff delievered. It took mby a half an hour to get our stuff, and that was because of a name mix up (it was our honeymoon and the room had orriginally made in my madien name). We had no issues at all. The only thing is, if your tickets and your dinning. With our first hotel, we bought a 7 day pass and dinning, for 5 nights. We then just used our remaining days at the next hotel.

Whatever you chose I am sue you will have a great time. Really think about what you want in a resort, are queen beds really important to you? I know they are to me, but I would be willing to save money and get double beds if it was a great enough deal.
