I also have two daughters

(11 and 8), and CSR is their favorite resort behind Beach Club and Poly. All of CSRs rooms were refurbed in 2009 and now have very comfy queen beds instead of the doubles like at CBR. The pool is huge with a long and fast slide - my kids rank the CSR pool second behind Stormalong Bay at Beach Club, and they prefer it to the pools at Poly, AKL and OKW. My kids are all about the water slide and room to move in the pool - the pirate splash area at CBR doesn't appeal to them at all (and they didn't care about the splash area at AKL - Kidani).
CSR also has a sand volleyball court and playground near the pool, and there is a sandy beach with hammocks for those times when my kids just felt like relaxing. CSR has lots of wildlife, from birds and bunnies to turtles and an alligator - my younger DD loved looking at the flowers and watching the animals.
The food court at CSR has something for everyone, and the food is good and fresh. My DD11 is adventurous and my DD8 is picky - they were both always able to find something that they wanted to eat. I like that the food court at CSR has real silverware and cloth napkins and you are seated by a CM when you get there - no wandering around with trays trying to find a seat. CSR also has tables out by the lake if you want to bring your food outside. There is a 10% gratuity charged at the food court (but not usually with the
DDP) that covers the server refilling your drinks and clearing your dishes. You can avoid the fee if you take your food to the tables outside, but it is worth 10% to us for a little more service than the usual food court.
The rooms at CSR feel very deluxe with subtle theming. DH is not interested in Nemo or pirate rooms or in a pink building - he wants to come back to a relaxing room that is not bright or covered in characters (just his personal preference - nothing wrong with a room covered in Nemo or Mickey or anyone else). The CSR rooms have sliding wooden doors between the room and vanity - it was wonderful to be able to get up, turn on the lights at the sink, shower and blow dry my hair without waking anyone. We usually go hard all day, so it was nice to allow the kids a little extra sleep while I got ready.
CSR has the largest hot tub of the moderates, the biggest pool and longest pool slide of the mods, room service, a fitness center, a spa and salon. There are sometimes conventions at CSR. We have been there several times during conventions and have had empty buses and an empty pool since some of the guests were working instead of playing. There is one convention (Grainger) that is usually in January or early spring that is huge, but most conventions won't even be noticed except for the empty buses and the occasional person with a name tag. We've been to CSR several times and have read that there would be conventions, but we haven't noticed anything except that the buses were quiet and we would sometimes see people in polos with nametags in the mornings.
I'm a big fan of trying new resorts, so I'd say give CSR a try since you have already stayed at CBR. But if either of your kids are huge Nemo or pirate fans, stick with CBR until they grow out of it.
