CSR or Cabins? Please Help!!!

We have stayed in the cabins once and LOVED them. The bedroom will be great for your 2 year old for napping. The den is great so the kids can go to sleep while you sit up and watch TV. The Murphy bed is very comfortable. If you drive, consider taking your bikes. We loved riding on the bike trails.

The pool is just a basic pool. No waterslide, etc. I don't know if that would be a problem with your 10 year old, but my kids didn't seem to mind. We actually rode our bikes to the WL and swam one day. (I have since read here that we weren't supposed to do that, but the bike path leads right to it and no one said anything to us.)

My DD (probably 9 at the time) did NOT like that you couldn't just go downstairs or down the path to the food court. There is a restaurant for breakfast, but not food court. I liked having the kitchen so we could eat breakfast in the room before we left for the parks for the day. It saved us time and money.

We always have a car (either from driving or renting one at the airport), so the busses weren't an issue for us. We have found over the years that is much more convenient to drive to the parks rather than wait on the busses.

Up Date- I switched to CSR! :goodvibes

I found a rate again for $633 less than the cabins and I jumped on it. Thanks for all the help!

And I thought I was the only one who never can settle on a resort. :lmao:

Have a great time. Are you driving or flying?????

Hey Buzz,
Do you have any advise on a place to "request". I have a 2 yr old son with Prader-Willi Syndrome. He can not walk yet and has really low tone. Any place better than the other for these situations? Thanks for any help and I'll check your website now for any other info.

It depends on what you want to be close to. Since you have a car, it is easier to drive to the front of the resort than it is to drive to a spot close to the main pool. Here are some good choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is close to the food court area.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

HI! Our family of 6 loved the cabins, and we've stayed in every type of resort Disney has to offer. The walking is an issue. I felt we could do without a golfcart, and we needed one, but couldn't get it for 2 days. We were told people reserve them very far in advance! Hope this helps!

We've always stayed at the FWcampgrounds. We just returned about a month ago and stayed in a cabin with 4 adults and 2 kids (my parents, DH, daughter 5 and son, 9).

The best part of FW is the amazing transportation services. We did mess up one day (waited at the wrong end of the campground for a bus to one of the waterparks) but we didn't read up on the routes (our 9 yr. old son pointed out that we were waiting at the wrong stop - DUH!).

Hope you love the CSR!

Janette
