I have stayed numerous times at CSR and I am in LOVE with it!! The atmosphere is wonderful. Everytime we drive in the gates and walk into the lobby, the look, the feel, the distinctively "disney" smell! I am sad when I hear people with bad reviews of it but there are good and bad experiences at every hotel. I've had less than nice stays at CBR but its one of my fav hotels also. I have heard comments about seeing convention goers and it recking the atmosphere of a family hotel. Well I've seen some convention goers and I don't think that they affect me in the slightest I just see them and think you lucky son of a....you get to go to a convention at Disney!

Are there any CSR Obsessives like me out there?

I think that CSR is wonderful! We really loved everything about our stay there - from the incredible landscaping to the great food at the Pepper Market to the relaxed atmosphere to the amazing pool to the great bus service! I could go on and on! In fact, Coronado Springs is our second favorite of all the resorts we have stayed at. Only the Wilderness Lodge edges it out, for us. We even loved CSR more than the Poly and the Swan! I reccomend it to everyone. Port Orleans and Dixie Landings (or whatever they are called now) can't hold a candle to CSR! It definately has a very deluxe feel to it. Very romantic, too!

We LOVE this resort too! I feel the same way as you do. It's nice to finally hear someone else who loves it as much as we do. I even made a website because there wasn't much info out there about CSR. You can count me in.

Check out my site below

We love CSR. The bus service can't be beat. I love the Pepper Market and the pool area and I even love the walk from the Ranchos.:p DH and I would be staying here for sure in November but could not pass up the discount at POFQ. We do like PO as well-just not as much as CSR.

Just wanted to say that we love the Ranchos, too! It's definately our favorite part of the resort. The landscaping is so neat and it's close to the main pool and a bus stop. Plus, we really enjoy the lovely walk over the bridge to the Pepper Market.

We are going next June I can't wait!!!!! I just want to say buzz LoVE your site -the pictures are beautiful ,I was looking at them again today.WE are splitting our stay between CSR and WL. I love the romantic mexican theme, I think my husband will like the WL ,I am going to surprise him on fathers day with that one!!! Thanks for the positive comments! goofy;)

I adore POR and can't imagine a better atmosphere. However, I was idly checking out resorts for our 2006 trip* and happened upon Buzz2001's site. DS was hanging over my shoulder the entire time, and has determined that his birthday WILL be at CSR!The Ranchos do look worth the walk. Coming from the Northeast, I think we'd love that theming. So it might be a little while, but this family may be defecting over to the CSR. :)

*Yes, we already know we'll be going then to celebrate DS's 8th birthday - it's becoming a family tradition to observe every 8th birthday at WDW, which guarantees us a trip at least every 4 years. :D

Thanks for the site feedback everyone. We are going to try the Contemporary this fall because of the low AP rate but I already have the feeling that I'll be missing my second home.

I adore CSR! It's so bright and sunny and beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see the sign in front. I'm going to be staying at CBR on my next trip since I couldn't use the codes for CSR, and I hope I won't be too disappointed. I'll have to visit CSR at least once during my trip.

We love CSR. Stayed there twice. It's a beautiful resort. It has a deluxe feel except you enter the rooms from the outside. Beautiful pool - great onsite restaurant, Maya Grille.

Love it! And, I know what you mean by that Disney smell.

BUZZ i never even had a inch of me that wanted to stay at CSR but after your page man i want to have dinner there to scope it out when i go later this month (im hicthing a ride with dad in the poly) but man next time me and my GF go i really think CSR would be very very very nice.

defintaly influenced someone here with its beauty and looks like great tranquility. WOW.thanx

It's very tranquil, especially in the morning. I usually take a walk to the main building, just after the grass and flowers have been watered for the day. The smell, the sunrise, everything seems to be picture perfect. Alot of folks talk about the resort not being "Disney" enough for them. That doesn't bother me. I get that at the parks. I love the feeling of being in Cancun as I sit by the pool drinking margaritas and eating nachos. I cna think of any other place I'd rather be.

thanks again for all the feedback on the site. At least I know it is working. I just wanted folks to see CSR was as nice as any WDW resort.

My first stay at CSR is coming up really soon. I can't wait! I hope I am as impressed with it as you all seem to be. The pictures I've seen (thanks to Buzz) look beautiful. I'm still torn on which area I'd like to be in. Due to the unpredictible rain right now I'm leaning at being close to El Centro. I'm not a huge pool person so I'd be happy near a quiet pool. I am kind of leaning towards Casitas.

We added 2 nights at CSR to our vacation in Sept. I had to lengthen my stay at the last minute (WOO HOO) and missed the low codes for the deluxes (I was allowed to spend no more than $150 per night) so selected CSR instead.

Buzz2001's site was a deciding factor and I am really looking forward to staying there. Since we are empty nesters we won't mind the convention atmosphere. We stayed at All Stars last triip and were a bit overwhelmed by all the "activity" there.

:D

Piglet203 and I stayed at the CSR for the first time in May/June and we loved it. There were a couple of nuances, but nothing to dter us from staying there again. However, we want to try a couple of other resorts that neither of us have stayed at first before we stay there again like the POR, the Polynesian (our honeymoon!), and the AKL. I'm sure we'll make it back there someday, even if we just split our stay at WDW at the CSR for a couple of days and move on to one of the resorts that we have not stayed at yet.

Out of the four Disney resorts we've stayed at, CSR is our favorite! After having stayed at a "deluxe", I think CSR feels like a deluxe.

I can't wait to see how much of a difference a deluxe has over a moderate. I never had anything to compare to before but after our Ocotber trip, I'll have a better idea on how great CSR really is.

My dd9 and I stayed there this past June and fell in love with it. We stayed in building 8A. Perfect location. I am going back to Disney August 16-30, 2003 and called and CSR does not have any availability due to a very large convention. I am very bummed. They told me to call in a few months to see if everyone had replied for the convention. Who knows????

Hey everybody,
Don't let our little secret out to all. Don't tell everyone what a great resort this is. It is our favorite mod in the whole 'World'. The tranquil feel as you walk across the bridge in the still of the morning can't be beat! I love seeing conventioneers scurring to their meetings in the morning or alking on their cells phones knowing that I can relax and enjoin the pool, hot tub or a wonderful meal at El Centro. The staff there is the best too!
